I'd personally put a new battery in and see if that helps. It could be that same expanding battery problem. If the new battery helps claim it back from the retailer.

Taking it back in for them to check out is probably easier, though then you're without your phone for up to a month, given Christmas messes things up.

exactly my thoughts, but I am not sure I will be able to claim it from the retailer. Will have a chat with them sometime this week and see what they have to say. I will most likely buy one and if this battery gets replaced then I can have a spare battery..

Hopefully the guys at Noel Leeming are reasonable enough

I took my phone to Noel Leeming but they advised me to come after new years coz the samsung service centre is closed from next week till mid january next year. And giving in my phone now would be of no use.

So I reverted back to using my S2 and in the meantime did abit more of research online and came up with this:

http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/530338/20131216/samsung-galaxy-s4-problems.htm#.UrOjQ9IW3p7

Currently I am in the process of draining my S4 battery by normal usage to recalibrate it according to the article.

Will later post my experience with the points highlighted in the article at the above link.

If anyone else is facing similar battery drain and / or boot loop issue, give it a shot

If this doesnt fix the phone then I am going back to samsung early next year to get a replacement battery

ibuksh: Has anyone else faced a fast battery drain issue.

Apparently its a known issue to samsung (along with battery swelling issue).

I got in touch with samsung and they said that it could be the batter or the body causing it to drain the battery fast - he couldnt explain to me how that worked.

I bought my handset from Noel Leeming. Will be taking it back to them sometime this week most likely.

If anyone has faced this issue then how fast was the turnaround time from giving it to the retailer and getting it back fixed.

I would charge to 100% then do a factory reset, dont install any apps because then you will know if it was just an app using lots of battery

Then see how it goes

Is there a nice easy way to get a catalog of the apps installed on my phone?

Can you go to google play online? That shows all the apps on your account though, not just on your phone.

Also doesn't cover the apps from other stores like Amazon and BrainApp.

Anyone got a good modem flashing guide through Odin, they say to put the file in the phone section, but I don't see any phone section on odin 3?

Anyone here on Omega 18 (or any Android 4.3 Custom App) that can tell me what modem they are running? I downloaded GSM_Modem_XXUEMJ5_and_LTE_Modem_XXUBMH1.tar but both WiFi and 3G are terrible.

I'm on ML5. So you have 2 modems installed?

I have no idea. I just flashed that file using Odin.

Where can I get ML5? Do I install that via Odin as well, in the CP area?
