At the moment, I have Superuser by Clockworkmod (I don't actually have CWM, just the SU app), and I'm not exactly sure how to hide root from other apps. I know the ChainsDD one allows you to temp unroot it, but that app won't work properly, as su is now a com.koushikdutta.superuser one.

I wouldn't get too worried about not being able to use the app.
It's much the same as their terrible ondemand service from the website - half the time things don't work.

ANZ goMoney also detects it, but allows you to continue. Your risk in that case I guess.

OTA Rootkeeper by Supercurio lets you temp unroot, I'd try that.

Hilarious. Years ago when Windows vista came out some people made waves because HDMI and digital content used DRM technologies - at the end of day it didn't prevent anyone actually using a PC for much and pretty much everyone with HDMI today can play anything and no one is impacted by that DRM.

But this? Sigh...

There is an Xposed module that hides root from selected apps.

Temp unroot is a pain.

Open OTA Rootkeepr, select temp unroot, use silly app with root detection, when done enable root again in OTA Rootkeeper. Not too bad really, but if an Xposed module exists so much the better.

Isnt this all a bit counter productive by TV3? They want our eyes on the screen so they can push adverts to us and get paid more. And the industry wonders why so many people torrent shows and movies!
