Hi, received an OTA update notification yesterday, it downloads without an issue via wifi, and begins the install, but when it gets to the Green Android man it runs for about 5% of the install then reboots and once running reports a fail, anyone else with this?

Ok, done a full reset, accepted update and reboots and fails at the exact same place, doing a quick google indicates folk all over the planet with the exact same issue.

Lon (Demeter) has the same issue. I'll have a word with the team & Sony on Monday to see if I can find out anything more about it.

Same here, sony care were of coarse no help, just spewed generic responses. Now just waiting for an update for the update.

I did mine about 3 or 4 weeks ago via the sony PC companion wired to the PC no problems

Try doing a wired install maybe not OTA

There is also a Mac version, if you're using that

Hi, from reading online comments from overseas, its not related to using OTA or PC but something wrong in the image.

Update: updated using windows 7 and the updates installed fine after downloading almost a gig of updates. I'm assuming the update on the phone only updates changed files and the update process on the PC downloads the entire update.

So use the PC software to update and it should work fine.

This was the first update from Sony that didn't require a PC, so I guess there's a few teething problems

Now on Android 4.4.4 - hopefully the battery life has improved as it was abysmal on 4.4.2
