Yup, another one of "those" posts, but new phones out every month etc, so what was good last month has been outdone already....

My daughter has a birthday soon, and we'd like to get her a half decent phone without blowing over $200. Catch is must be from Noel Leemings (store credit) and if network locked, must be 2Degrees.

She does the usual kid stuff, such as Instagram, Youtube, selfies etc.

Prefer to avoid Alcatel (not had a good run), but open to suggestions.

Was looking at Nokia, but have a Huawei myself and not had any issues.....

TIA

Nokia 5.1 with 16G of internal storage (where about 7G is taken by  OS itself) is a no-no for instagram/youtube/etc. Extending storage and moving some apps to external storage does not help too much, some apps are not moveable, another still cache their temporary data in internal storage. Using Nokia 5.1 would require some self-discipline to keep number of installed apps small and clear cached data every so often. I guess same applies to Nokia 2.1 as well.
