IT research company Gartner reported first quarter 2003 PDA shipments were down by 4 percent to 9 percent year over year in the United States, Western Europe and Japan but were down 22 percent in the Asia/Pacific region. Given that PC shipments in the Greater China region increased in the first quarter of 2003 compared with the first quarter of 2002, we observed that a major reason for the decline in PDA shipments was that PDAs were considered to be a "trendy" gift in 2002, but in 2003, digital cameras appear to have that status.

Very neat device! Just received the new Nokia 3650, courtesy of Vodafone, and it'll be tested with a couple of Belkin Bluetooth adapters I'm also receiving for a review.
