MS in association with Everlink Wireless are selling a Smartphone Development Kit for US$ 499. The phone is not certified for network operation. The kit provides all the resources needed (along with a few bonus items) to develop, test, and market mobile applications for Smartphone.

MmO2, the mobile phone firm spun off from British Telecom, has announced its withdrawal from the Netherlands, with the sale of its Dutch unit for £17 million. British Telecom purchased 50% of the company in July 2000 for £1.2 billion.
