JPNZ:

Has anyone on Vodafone managed to downsize to the cheaper SKY option yet? The Vodafone website still doesn't have the option listed...?

I spoke with them on Tuesday and was advised that they are still figuring out how to implement this and to check back 'in a couple of weeks'.

It sounds like they don't have a clue and were completely caught off guard by this. I thought they were meant to be business partners or something?

Today a friend of mine finds that overnight one of his boxes no longer decodes the sky entertainment channels. Calls sky who say it’s due to him using an old box and card (a blue one). Where do they get off just cutting service without notice? They will book a call for a tech to change the box and card but until then, no sky entertainment channels on that box.

As per https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=106&topicid=201763 it seems Sky advised your friend about September. They seem to have given notice, ad with the number of subscribers they have, probably cannot keep chasing people up.

Yeah, September 2016. Some people have no clue. Box swap out has been running 2 years next month.
