Wonder why there's no stuff article criticising Sky for trouble streaming sports? /s
Started watching the stream around 8:40pm.
Fast forward 56 minutes and it falls apart, skips ahead and gives me the result of the top 10.
Not impressed at all.
Seems to be no way to watch the final lap. hope its sorted for the 6:30am replay!

It's on supercars.com (sky shared it as an alternate.. ha)
I watched the top 10 shootout and I didnt have a problem until about the end of the penultimate runner, then I managed to miss the entire final run and it would get stuck on a short loop of about 10 seconds no matter what i did. Since the loop included the time for the final run I stopped watching. Definately interested to know what the issue was.

Herald is on it though! https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=12275947
Must be congestion
The Apple TV app just popped up an error with the feed but managed to restart it, hope its just a one off.
I've got a Gen 2 Vodafone TV box, worst case I'll get the credit card out and get Sky Sport running on that

I am a regular Sky Sport Now subscriber and there are sod all replays. Basically just All Black matches which is stupid as most of those matches are on at a decent time. Just have highlights on demand which is crap. I am a football fan and the matches in Europe like La Liga, champions league etc don't have any matches on demand. The football matches are shown on demand through Bein Sports connect app which Sky Sport Now subscribers don't have access to. Plus a couple of weeks ago they had EFL Cup games including Manchester United's game on Bein Sports connect only. Only Satellite TV Sky Sport subscribers get access to Bein Sports connect which I am totally pissed off about. Just think that is crap and unfair. Complained to Sky about it but they don't do anything about it. I would of thought other football fans who are subscribed to Sky Sport Now would feel the same and complain about it too.
This is actually quite a poor deal for Football fans, our content is segregated across Sky's platform where Satellite get the better deal and we don't even get the option to pay for beinsports connect for the missing football content.
Also the A-league WSW vs CCM game last night crumbled along with the V8's Top 10 shootout. If I had beinsports-connect I could have used that to watch the game instead, in fact I haven't seen one A-league replay or NZF Chatham cup replay/highlights on Sky Sports Now.
If the Phoenix vs Western United game crumbles tonight (which I don't expect it to) I'll be pretty dark about it
Apologies if this has been answered already, I don't have time to look through the entire thread right now.
I got an email today letting me know about the $99 summer pass (3 months from the day you activate it). I'm interested in checking it out. I currently have Kayo and this is similarly priced, however, I'm reluctant to switch over without a free trial, as I've been burned by this service in the past.
One of my big bugbears with the previous version was that you were unable to cast a live event from your mobile phone and watch it from the beginning. This was possible if you used a desktop computer and went to the website, you were able to watch a live event, go back to the start and cast it. But that was very clunky and rather hit and miss.
So I jumped into their live chat to see if they have a free trial - the answer is No. I then asked if it's possible to do what I want, but from what the support person told me, it still isn't. He also said that if a one-dayer was on and I missed the start, I would have to wait until the end of the game before I can watch it from the start, I find that very hard to believe! But without a trial I'm certainly not going to waste my money finding out. He suggested I try a one week pass, but I'm not interested in doing that.
Can anyone in here shed any light on exactly what is and isn't possible?
Thanks!

It depends on how you are watching. On the website you can go to the Full TV guide and select a show that is up to 24 hours in the past. If the show is currently playing it takes you to the live broadcast but you can use the slider to take you back to the beginning.
On the iOS apps (iPhone and iPad) you can do the same thing to select a show from the full TV schedule in the past 24 hours but this time if it is currently playing it will start at the beginning and pop up and option go to the live program.
On the AppleTV there is no full TV guide that you can go into the past on. So the AppleTV app is only good for watching live. If I want to watch something from the past 24 hours I either watch it on my iPad or I airplay it to my AppleTV.
The on demand section is crap. There is little to nothing in it so don’t expect to be able to select anything from there.
I find the quality good. It also allows me to have sport without needing a set top box. The apps themselves could do with some improvement to make them all work in a consistent fashion and to allow full on demand but I wouldn’t hold out too much hope for that any time soon. Sky doesn’t seem to spend a whole lot of time on their apps to polish them. Especially the AppleTV app.

Anyone who was wanting to trial Sky Sport Now without paying $20 for a week, they are offering a 24 hour deal for $1.99, to coincide with the All Whites game tomorrow morning
Is anyone here using Kodi to stream Sky Sport Now on their Android TV (since there is no official app)? I thought I'd share my experiences (and the disappointing conclusion).
I have a Sony X95G TV which is a 2019 model with the Mediatek 5893 chipset. Until recently, I have cast SSN to the TV using the Android app on my phone and I have always considered the quality to look "sub 1080p" but watchable enough. Recently I set up the SSN Kodi addon and was pleased to see 720p50 and 1080p50 quality options available. These look fantastic, noticeably superior to the Chromecast option. However, on my TV they exhibit the occasional video artifacting and then eventually die completely (black screen). Replicating the set up on my phone (Galaxy S10), I confirmed that the video artifacts are there too using the higher bitrate streams (however they do at least continue to play indefinitely).
Running SSN in Chrome on my phone shows 720p as the max quality option.
Running SSN in Chrome on a PC shows 1080p as the max quality option.
The conclusion I have come to is that Sky have limited the max quality on Android to 720p due to hardware incompatibilities with their higher bit-rate streams. This means that even if they give us an official Android TV app, the same 720p limitation will be present.
I would be interested to see how this works on a Shield TV or an Amlogic device.
is anyone else noticing severe jittering on SSN when using an AppleTV 4K?
I have 2x Apple TV's, 1 at home and 1 at work on 100mb and 1gb ufb plans. it happens on both.
Camera pans, fast moving cars/players jitter and watching cricket is almost impossible.
any feedback with the same issues would be great before i email their support team.
