Any existing Sky customers been able to order the new Sky box yet?

If I log in - I can now see this which looks wrong as that says $100 p/month! Looks to be the discounted one-off cost of the box.
If I hit Add Offer - takes me to the upgrade screen and then cannot proceed any further.

How long have you been with Sky and how much do you spend a months? I have been with Sky since day one and my offer is $150

Been with Sky for a very long while! Prob 20 years and spend over $200 p/month.

I use the SiliconDust Freeview tuner than runs on the network, you can setup Plex to get guide data and do recording too, or just use the Channels app. Both are excellent on the ATV.

Wording has me confused. Seem to be an offer of $50, saving me $150.    But in a very small font is “ /mth “ by the $50.
Phoning them tells me to use My Account to do upgrade.  Tried that, and it stalls.

I'm getting $150/mth; a saving of $50.

On the My Account page, I am also getting a "New Sky Box Offer" of $50 /mth which is apparently a saving of $150.

I assume it's not /mth but a one-off payment of $50 for the new box then my package remains the same?

Very hard to decipher.

Currently paying $51-49 per month with recording and HD channels

New box one off payment $200 less $50 loyalty credit = $150 plus $15 extra per month for recording, total monthly charge $66.49

Something doesn't smell right to me

Baldrick: I’m still having issues where it is not letting me record certain things (mainly formula one at the moment).

I emailed the sky trial email last Thursday but haven’t heard back yet.

I want to know if it is worth doing a factory reset to see if it fixes the issue.

I will give them till Tuesday and if they haven’t replied I might give them a call.

Would like to get it fixed before the next race or else I will be relying in how fast they put the on demand replays up.

I series linked the F1 programmes before the first race, and everything has recorded, including both races.

AKLGUY79:

Can you tell me if you can use SkyGo on both at the same time?
I have a holiday home the pucks will make for great watching. But 2 TVs

I believe that the blurb says SkyGo is linked to your account, not the number of Sky devices you have. I think it said you can connect three mobiles/ipads etc, and make five changes per year.

So received my Sky pod today, definitely seems to be Google like in origin. Initial reaction, nice and compact which is good but why oh why not give us the option to use our own hdmi cable instead of a couple of cms of uselessness, it’s just a stupid design. My tv is mounted on the wall so now I’ll have to work out how to make room to plug this tiny cable in & have the unit hanging off the interface. Might be a trip to town for an hdmi through adapter so I can at least put it where I want to I think.

Yes I just opened the box yesterday on the Pod and went to PBTech to get a .5m male to female HDMI cable.

I was worried about the puck hanging at 90 degrees off the cable ( the HDMI socket is midway up the back of the TV) and also worried about the remote sensor being hidden behind the TV.

Now it will sit on the same place that the VTV box sat on a sideboard under the TV.

I will fire it up in about 7 days.
