Just tried the Lightbox app on Apple TV and getting a maintenance page saying goodbye but hello to Neon.

They had previously sent an email saying there would be a 3 hour maintenance window for the cutover. That was supposed to start at 11pm. The neon site is still under maintenance so maybe things didn’t go so well?

Nice to finally have an Apple TV app.

I found updating apps was a bit clunky.... it works better if you delete and re-add apps.

With so many great movies on there its a pity we didn't get the 5.1 audio upgrade thought it be a slim chance...since they in HD whats putting the 5.1 audio iam no technicians they can borrow my server its got 5.1 card in it lol ....or they could download the plex app haha

Ran up my old Lightbox app which asked for an update. Did that and the new Neon app installed. All my account settings and list was still there. Now on 3 week free trial ..

Anyone have this working on Nvidia Shield TV?

I notice the version in the play store says it is not compatible with Shield.

You need to get the APK from elsewhere; apkpure or somewhere and sideload it and it will work fine... I haven't tested the move to Neon but the old lightbox app was fine on them.

Yes it's working fine here nvidia 2020 model thou ...didnt even ask me to update it just worked on the old app ,manual updated from play store after .

I checked TVNZ and THREE apps and the are both 2.0. It seems only the big boys are doing 5.1.

Its not good enough when you paying for a service especially in 2020 (its not like we want atmos sound, even if they know what that is )...ive complained to neon but I don't think they care...

Yar, 2019 shield tube here, lightbox was already updated to neon by the time I went to use it. Appears in store when I search for it as well.

Also, considering that most TVs only come with 2 speakers and most upscale 1080 good enough for the gen. pop. not to notice, I'd say they have little reason to compete when they can just hold a monopoly with content rights. It is the Sky way.

Surely content these days comes with 5.1 audio? Do they just discard it instead of streaming it as is? Or are they too tight to pay any price difference for it?

How do you get it from the store? Its showing as only compatible with my Sony TV and my two shields are incompatible... and the lightbox app on the shields has kinda updated internally as before but its messed up due to the missing Movies tab and it still has lightbox branding.
