Teza1:

Ok now I know I’m a little thick but…….

I can see the sky premier league channel that has 3 of todays games but I can’t see any on demand I.e the ones not broadcast on sky 8. Where can I find them?

To top it off as I am one of the Vodafone customers sky took over I can’t use the sky go or Bein sports apps (even though I get a bill from Sky). Really not happy about that given I have a sky account and pay the same as all their other customers. It might be over the top but surely they are breaking fair trading laws somehow.

My understanding is that us ‘Vodafone’ sky customers will be getting/offered the new sky streaming box when it comes out but the specs look like a downgrade on the Vodafone tv box……damn these 1st world problems :)

Why don't you cancel and re-join? Every Sky customer wil be able to get the new sky box so it's not really much benefit.

Billyspleen75: Highlight and replays all loaded and available on skygo and skysportnow by time I finished the All Blacks replay.

after the amount of angst leading up to the weekend it has been pretty decent so far

Spurs v Saints kicked off 2am, so was finished by 4am, I logged on to SSN at 7:45am and no replays or highlights for that game were there, when I looked about 20mins later, the 12min highlights package was there. Not sure about the full replay as I ended watching the 12 min as I was catching a flight.

I'm sure Spark would have had it up quicker, but I'd expect a full replay to be available within 30mins of finishing time, but it's their first week, so I'll cut them some slack, but it needs to be up earlier than 4 hrs after finishing time.

I thought the image quality was good, although was in a hotel and it was only a 32", might look different on my 75" at home...

As a long term suffering Saints supporter, I can assure you there were no highlights in that game.

I tried to watch the Man Utd / Brighton game and the not only was the quality crap on the browser compared to Spark Sport and the game was crap too but thats not for this topic... Whilst Spark Sport had major issues on launch and continued with F1 for about 6 months SSN has been running for a long time and its really not acceptable to have such variable and poor quality from their streams at this point in time.

Yeah the quality is definitely not as good.

Watching with fibre hardwired connections to my Samsung TV and my 4k chromecast with google tv. Both with the SSN now app installed. The framerate and quality seems less than spark

When using kodi on the chromecast also. The best available quality comes as as only 8mbs

Hopefully the new update brings a major quality upgrade and at least 5.1 surround sound would be nice by now

Yeah, I think it would have been approx. 8.15am when I first looked and saw all the highlights available. Was an improvement on Saturdays time at least.

On SSN, remember the full replays are available the minute the program finishes via the 24hr playback option

Try and watch the real United next time. A breezy 2-0 win against Forest this week. ;)

As a fellow long-time Saints sufferer (sorry, that's supposed to say "supporter"), I agree.

I recorded the game on MySky and watched it when I got up - all felt very familiar.

I do miss the ease of use model that Spark offered though - their app layout was clean and simple and I used it on the iPad or ATV to watch highlights, roundup shows etc.

Sky's online interface isn't as slick or user-friendly in my opinion. But the matchday linear TV experience was good and easy.

Sky satellite subscriber here. Wanting to view game highlights and gameweek reviews on demand. In the On Demand section all I see are the full game replays. Am I missing something or is this all they are offering?

Of course I have access to Sky Go which has the content I'm after but I want to watch it on the big screen without mirroring or casting.

Thanks

As far as I am aware, the only way to access the OD features like sideshows and highlights packages are through SkyGo - then cast to the big screen.

Not what I wanted to hear, but thanks for backing up my suspicion. I've never had any luck casting sky go to TV. I think I might build a raspberry pi and connect through HDMI just to watch the highlights packages :/

I've always had good results with an Apple TV and iPad, but YMMV

I've got Sky Sports Now and I'm very disappointed with the streaming quality for the EPL. It looks like it's not much better than 360p. I've contacted Sky but only via messaging and they don't seem to be much help. They don't seem to like talking to customers. I have extremely fast fibre and haven't had this issue last season with Spark. The quality is also poor for full replays.

I've looked at the quality in Sky Go and it's much better. Looks like 1080p.

Is Sky going to address this issue for Sky Now? And will they post full replays quicker? It's a very average service. I'll give them a couple of weeks, but I only got Sky Now for the EPL and it's not worth it.

I'm in the same boat now I don't have Sky via satellite... Their service is poor at the moment and at $39.99 for just EFL I'm not sure its worth it!

Yeah, it's really unacceptable Benoire.

It seems as though Sky are completely unaware of how bad the EPL is streaming on Sky Now. They keep telling me to check my internet connection, but I'm sure it's bad for everyone. I wonder if they've received many complaints about it.

I expect better than dodgy flash stream quality when I'm paying more this season than what I paid for Spark last season (and Spark worked well for me).
