JamesL: I'm sure he would have divulged that information in the first place if he wanted others to know..

If its a commercial offering, why not just name it?

And I'm sure a sky tv employee is just a capable as saying "me too" to get around the faux secrecy, assuming that one of their employees gets a chance to climb out of the Uncle Scrooge style pool full of riches.

Its possible against the FUG, if it's not legal. I can't believe how many streaming websites there are out there. Including Sky UK, all the UK channels, and US channels. There must be a streaming site on every street!

I did go looking the other day, I couldn't find a streaming service that offered rugby, league, cricket and soccer.. there's combinations of them.

Interestingly enough, when you try google for legitimate streaming you still get the illegal streaming hits first. It's like they don't want their legal services to be found.

I did the same and had the same problem. i looked specifically for sports at $25 per month. Apparently StarSports has loads of stuff for a small price but you need a Indian VPN and I've heard the streaming can be poor. I guess the hunt continues. Willow TV is my main option, as I really only watch cricket, but they don't have the current England tour.

Now TV is your best bet, I'm trying it out atm for the sports. Rugby, Cricket, Golf, League (Super league) Tennis etc. might buy a second Roku and have it setup on my living room TV.

Good point. It's around $23NZ for a week-long pass, but given the sports I want to watch are only on intermittently (Black Caps games and probably RWC) it's likely to be fairly economical when averaged out over the year. It also means you can assess what's likely to be free to air here first, and choose whether or not to buy it for that event.

I'll be interested to hear how you find it.

Still cheaper than NZ Sky's "fan pass" service - $69 per month just for Super rugby!

This!!!

The site is completely legal and is the official online site for that country.  I've used illegal streaming sites and although passable none are as good as getting a dedicated, legal site with an official Apple app for airplay to my aTV.

If its legal then I don't understand why you just don't tell the name of the service, I'm sure it would help the myriad on here who are stuck paying sky just to watch sports..

Netflix was only legal in other countries till recently, but that didn't stop people from telling others and accessing it via VPN
