The sky box recording has still not been fixed. Recorded a program (The Heist) the other day and it was recorded 5 times, but unfortunately ALL of them were only partially recorded from 5 to 36 minutes in length. Anyone else had this problem.?

We had this problem on day one. Opal Hunters was broken up in to segments exactly like you you experienced and Newshub at 6 only partly recorded. Since then it has been fine other than a missed F1 and Blow Up off 3 recording off a series links.

Never had this problem with the old box. Hopefully an update will sort it.

Hit record on Antiques Roadshow and recorded a show yesterday and today on Prime and watched them both today without any problems

Well this is a new bug in the Skypod

Main TV watcher is using TVNZ+ app to watch a programme- pauses the programme and goes back to TVNZ+ home screen then push Netflix button. Select a Netflix programme and when it plays - the audio from the TVNZ+ programme is also playing. Double audio.

She contacts other housemate who is working on a Wordpress website on a PC.

They take control of the remote and go back to the TVNZ+ app and find the programme is playing. Pause programme. Go back to Netflix program and find the same problem of double audio

Turn off Skypod using remote. Turn on Skypod and go to Netflix programme and have exactly the same problem!!!! - double audio- without having gone to the TVNZ+ app.

Pull power cord to the Skypod. Wait 30 secs. Skypod reboots and maybe does some update (who knows)- it finally gets the address in the router (ethernet connection and it has a manual address assigned to the MAC)

Push Netflix button- go to previous programme and all is working OK -no double audio.

The household main TV watcher is very very very unhappy. She said how do people manage who know nothing about electronic devices.

Come back VTV all is forgiven. I was happy to have to use the Mi-box to get Netflix, Prime video etc as the VTV just worked.

Had continuous problems with recording the English football play offs on CH57 over the past week, records only 6 mins then stops, no series link availability and each time I set it to record these games the same problem

The muppets who are on the sky help desk are hopeless , not a bloody clue what’s going on , don’t know how the box works and they are a joke ….

Box otherwise is fine, but with hiccups …,

@IainD Don't call the help desk staff Muppets they would not be the ones that gave the Sky Box the go ahead to launch! Blame upper management

What Linux said. Plus the dev and test teams who were likely under the pump.    << My edit

Weirdly I do feel for them. None of those who I spoke with when trying to terminate my sub had even seen a box in the flesh so to speak. Their only ability to help was coming from limited cheat sheets. One had mentioned a brief training video.

The most helpful of all I spoke with, was considering getting a Box for home, but wasn't sure anymore based on the calls she'd been fielding. I suggested she request a trial unit for a week.

I take my comment about the help desk staff back , it’s the upper management and indeed the folk who took strenuous testing if these box’s and still fail to get if right with updates

Impressive when the Sky NZ CTO has a BA in Criminal Justice.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Send it back?😁

I was a long term Vodafone TV customer, I liked the ability to pause 'live' programmes and to NOT need a satellite dish on my roof. Everything provided by fibre.

Hoped Sky would offer a similar or better service, not this backward step of a Sky Box... what next a postal service with VHS tapes?

Returned my Sky Box and haven't missed it.
