If there's any confusion, this should explain it...

$449 - That's the price from last year, there was a price increase during the year moving the price to $499, so the sale is $134 discount to reach $365 (up from $299 the previous year).

So when you log into your account, you're looking at the price when you signed up 12 months ago.

If you renew you'll get the $499 price (or $365 if using the Black Friday deal)

For all its faults and my negative feedback earlier, $365 is a reasonable price to pay for what you get. I can't bring myself to pay full price for it.

Does anyone know if my subscription doesn't expire until Feb will the discount be applied then? Sorry if this has been asked before 

You need to cancel before the current subscription expires otherwise they will attempt to bill your card for another year.

Then once it expires, apply for a new account using the discount code and a new email address.

That worked for me last time.

Do you absolutely need to do a new account with different email address?  I cancelled my existing sub a couple of weeks ago.  That will take affect tomorrow when last year's 1 year deal expires.  Can I just get a new sub with my existing account details and the Black Friday code, or do I need to create a new account from scratch?  I was going to wait right up till 2 Dec before restarting.

They say it will be applied in February but not sure if I trust them 

Is this for Sky Sport only? Do they do any deals for Movies, etc?

Missed this year and got caught out with the increase. 

Grinds my gears at times with the quality of the image but at the end of the day, it’s simple to use compared to using a overseas source and switching back and forth between VPN’s

No you don't, I had the same confusion and Sky support told me to just wait until my cancelled subscription expires (tomorrow) then I can subscribe using the Black Friday deal. When you cancel you're just cancelling the auto-renewal, you still have an active subscription until it expires.

This used to be 24 hours didn’t it? Now it’s no where near a full day.

A couple of months ago maybe, plenty of complaints to Sky from what I've seen (I've sent one myself), but they just reply with the stock standard cut and paste promising more on-demand replays up quicker.
