I have unpaired my Bluetooth remote and now I can no pair it again, I get no prompts on the screen to pair it but I know to pair it you need to press and hold CH+ and OK buttons on remote for 3 seconds to begin pairing process but nothing happens, so after a couple of hours trying to navigate the remote using standard RF as it was going back when I tried going forward and changes to the screen were flicking through different pages like there was a gremlin in the remote I finally get to the factory reset page and decided to do that to fix it now I am stuck on the Pair Your Sky Remote page and nothing is happenning, I have another Sky remote that I have tried and still the same thing

Can anyone unpair and pair remote without any issues?

Any idea's

I've been looking at upgrading my sky box since word was first out of a change.

Being a sky customer for way over twenty years it was the low offer of just $50 off that stopped me in my tracks. Interesting the offer changed to $150 off a few weeks later and is now back to just $50. I'm picking that could be related to turning sky movies on then off again.

I'm not shy on moving forward with technology but see this new offering is missing any benefits for me for the money asked, plus with the current issues still getting ironed out it would appear currently a step backwards. Between the apps on my TV and Nvidia shield I'm well covered on that front and if anything, better than skys new box offer.

The not being able to transfer the recorded shows will not make my wife happy. Sure, I can add multi room on to let them still be watched but that not a desirable add on for us.

I'm still in the market for a new box but will wait this out until they have a better user-friendly product after all the fixes are in place. That a better offer once the fix the bugs more befitting to the time I've had sky tv.

Have you tried changing the batteries, and using the Google TV app on a phone to start the pairing process on the Sky Pod, prior to starting the pairing process on the SkyPod remote.

Should apply to the Box as well since it is and Android implementation the Google TV App is available in the Google Play store for Android and possibly Apples store on the iPhone.

It must because you have reset the Sky Box. There must be some way of resetting the remote or unpairing it which is what you need now because the remote possibly thinks it is still paired and is not allowing you to re pair.

I'm trying two different Sky remotes to pair surely one of the remotes should start pairing

It all started this morning I recieved two Vodafone remotes and both paired to the box and worked flawlessy, you can imagine my excitiment, then after restarting the device it told me to pair the Vodafone remotes again and this is when the shite started

Guess I'll send it back again

You might find the following useful for the pairing/unpairing of the Vodafone TV Remotes:

To Pair Your Vodafone TV Remote to Bluetooth.

1.      1. Hold down the “3” and yellow buttons together until the on/off button starts flashing.

2.      2. When it stops flashing pairing is complete.

To Unpair your Vodafone TV Remote from Bluetooth.

1.      1. Hold down the “3” and yellow buttons together for 5 seconds until the button at the top of the remote flashes red.

Once you have a Vodafone TV remote paired to a Box / Sky Pod you should possibly be able to use it to initiate pairing of a Sky remote on the Box /Sky Pod.

To Pair your Vodafone TV Remote with your TV after setting the VTV Remote to use Bluetooth with your TV Box/ Sky Pod

Turn on your Box/ Sky Pod

  1. Turn on your TV that you wish to pair with
  2. Press and hold the Yellow and OK buttons on your remote until the Power button blinks green twice
  3. Point the remote towards your TV
  4. Press and hold the Power button on your remote until your TV turns off (this may take up to 30 seconds), then release the Power button
  5. The LED will indicate its progress by a long green blinking
  6. Press the Power button to turn your TV back on

To Reset your remote control

  1. Press and hold the Blue and Menu buttons until the Power button blinks green twice
  2. Press 9 four times, the Power button will blink green each time you press 9

After the fourth time, the Power button will blink Red four times and your remote will be back to it's original state

Followed these instruction and successfully Reset the remotes but pairing etc doesn't do anything I need to get beyond the remote pairing screen for things to start working, like the Vodafone remotes

No instructions on how to reset the Sky remote!!!

Out of interest does anyone else have 1 or 2 Vodafone remotes working ok with their Sky device without any issues?
