The Sky Pod goes into Standby and Standby can't be disabled. I wouldn't want to anyway because then the remotes would not work.

If the unit doesn't go into standby that's good then the remotes will still work fine, once the unit goes into standby the Vodafone remotes will not start up the unit only the Sky remote will. apparently once the box comes out of standby the Vodafone remotes are gone from the device settings, go figure!!

Otherwise all remotes work fine if the unit does not go into standby

You could probably go into Android Settings, Device Preferences (or similar), About and Press OK while on Android TV OS Build. This should turn on developer options.

You could then back arrow, developer options, and turn on Stay Awake.

This should help.

BTW - Tried this the other day and it doesn’t make any difference either. There’s only one option in Dev Options for this and it still goes into Standby.

I think this standby setting is used to stop the device going into standby if something else is plugged in and charging in the USB port

Ricksta:

Can someone with the new box see if they can series link or even record the ITM Hook Me Up fishing show that airs on Sundays on Three.  I cannot get this to record.  It allows me to select record and brings up the Episode or Series menu. I can select either but it never shows up in the planner.  I think it once showed up and then literally vanished in front of my eyes.

I also noticed that the ability to bookmark has gone. I can no longer bore my family with “you must watch this” moments.

I have been unable to record Sky Speed or AM Early.  Sky's answer was reset the box...  As if I wouldn't have already tried.  The whole experience is painful and extremely frustrating.

And pray, how long was your wait time to talk to someone? A big part of my frustration with the rollout that I experienced was the collective 6+ hours of wait time, initially when they lost my order and then when I was trying to cancel the service.

Have just setup the new skybox for my parents (I cut the cord from sky 10 years ago and never looked back), but I can't get HDMI-CEC working for the SkyBox to receive CEC commands from the TV?  The TV is an LG C2 OLED that is only 2 months old and I have CEC already enabled for use with an AppleTV connected to it and it works fine.

It seems that the TV will receive commands from the SkyBox (e.g. Powering off from the Sky Remote).  However when using the LG remote the Sky Box doesn't respond to play, pause, channel, guide, number pad, cursor, nothing?

Can anyone here confirm for me that they are able to send commands from their TV (preferably any LG TV owners) and successfully get the SkyBox to respond to anything like the guide, menu, cursor, play/pause

Not sure its specific to these Sky boxes as seeing it on one of my Chromecast with Google TV's and that runs the same underlying OS. Will do some more investigation.

We have an 2012/2013 Samsung and only 2 of the 3 HDMI provide full support for both the remotes and HT sound. This held true while we had the SkyPod and applies with the new AndroidTV box too.

I would try the various HDMI ports.
