euanandrews: Ok...

I have now reported every single auction that guy has got, except for the batteries auctions, as they appear to be the only items he actually has in stock.

Blacklist me eh...that will get Trademe's attention.
What's the bet I get kicked from Trademe instead of him!

considering the amount of complaints to trademe i alone made i wouldn't be surprised if i get banned! Tongue out

i have no respect for people who rip others off in such an enviroment as trademe where most users don't really have a clue. just because he's banned me doesn't stop me complaining about his future listings too Wink

Greetings from Amazon.com.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to process your pending order(s), including order 103-*****.  To avoid cancellation of your order(s), we request that you fax us a copy of the billing statement associated with the debit or credit card provided as payment.  Our fax number is 001-206-266-1838 when faxing from outside the US, or 206-266-1838 from within the US.  This statement should include the following information:

     * Name as it appears on your credit or debit card
     * Address on file with the card issuer
     * The customer service phone number for your financial institution.

On your fax, please provide the email address used when placing your order and the order number you received in your email confirmation.

Do note that the statement must be sent via fax as we are unable to interpret attachments via email.  Please also note that you will be unable to access your Amazon.com account as it has been placed on hold pending receipt of your fax.  Please do not place a new order or open a new account as this may result in additional delays.

If you are unable to send the fax, please ask the issuer of your debit or credit card to contact us so we may verify your account details.  The card issuer can reach us via the above fax number.  The fax should include the name, phone number and fax number of a specific representative with whom we can correspond if necessary.

Please don't hesitate to email us should you have any questions, and thank you for your interest in shopping at Amazon.com.

Sincerely,

Account Specialist

This is probably the standard email they send out when they suspect fraud - they need to check address, etc to make sure you are who you claim you are.

its a FRAUD email. Don't reply. Amazon don't ask for Credit Card details lol.
Just ignore it. Someone probably trying to scam you using a very SIP web thing. Forget what it is called but I've seen a lot with Banking version one.

Is the order number correct? Have you ordered that from Amazon? Are the email headers correct? When you enter www.amazon.com and try to login is your account locked?

If you answered YES to all then it's a legit email.

Standard procedure. Paypal does the same - about six years ago my Paypal account was locked out and they only unlocked it after I sent a fax with my credit card statement showing my full name and address.

Cheers guys, it is correct info so maybe legit, just have to be mindful of these things a!

The sad thing is I just changed the address with Visa today due to the newegg issue of card Not being registered in the US. So no paper trail exist under that address yet.

Wow this is simply the hardest thing I have ever tried to buy... ever!

ahahha yeah USA use the address verification method. I failed to buy from ClearProtect with NZ credit card too. It keeps saying my billing address does not matched. Gotta update the billing address on the card then try again.

After looking at an N900 at work last week I was pretty unimpressed with the hardware - The only thing it has going for it over my i8910 is screen resolution and Maemo. I found the Maemo interface very slick to use in the 2 minutes or so I had to play round with it (was a colleagues) but a bit buggy - didnt have enough time to make a definitive conclusion as to if it was better then s60 v5 in real world usability but the first impressions werer very good.
