I see that PB Tech have the 64GB 5T in stock at $899.
Nice to see that they are now including a NZ Dash charger in the price, saves time and cost of sourcing an Oppo one elsewhere. One of the huge benefits of the OnePlus is the speedy Dash charging.
NL have them cheaper, but they are on 2-3 weeks delivery and will not have the Dash charger.
Must say I'm more than satisfied with my 1+5, which btw got updated to Oreo a few weeks ago. Not that Oreo makes a heck of a lot difference, but at the same time the OS was updated to include the OnePlus face unlock. Bit of a gimmick on the 5 which has a front face fingerprint sensor, but I can see it would be handy on the 5T with the rear fingerprint sensor.
Nokia 6110, 6210, 6234, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, Huawei Ideos X5 (Windows Mobile), Samsung Galaxy SIII, LG G4, OnePlus 5, iPhone Xs Max (briefly), S21 Ultra. And I thought I hadn't had many phones - but the first one around 1997.
Hey guys,
switched to the 5T from my Note 8 - purely for better battery life and Oreo!
Im struggling to find any tempered glass protectors in NZ for this phone, anybody know any place that sells them?
Thanks
I have not found any good ones, I ended up getting the real one from oneplus with some cases and youshopping it.
The battery life on the oneplus is great plus dash charge rocks, just a bit bummed with the camera and sound. I am trying to work out if i want a s9+

I already bought the official on3plus glass but it will take a while to arrive and I'm impatient
The battery life is golden. I haven't had a proper chance to test the camera yet though.
Either way I'm a phone wh*re Im sure I will be getting the s9 plus anyway hahahaha

Ha man after my own heart, i also get about 3 or 4 phones a year :P
AliExpress had Official OnePlus 5T tempered glass protectors on sale for $12USD at the beginning of the week - with free shipping.
IMO, OnePlus's own TG wins. The trouble I've found with 3rd party protectors is that either the bezels run too wide and end up cutting off some of the screens real estate or they simply run smaller than the screen.
I've had my OP5T for around 3 weeks now and I love it, all the good that has been said about this device is accurate - lightning quick, great screen, dash charge etc. I've come from a OP3T and while that might not been seen as much of an upgrade, I've got no regrets. Initially I had some reservations about the camera after reading a tonne of negatives, however after putting it through its paces, making tweeks, using manual mode, HQ > HDR etc I've found it isn't as bad as everyone is making out - sure it's no Pixel 2, but it's certainly no potato either.
Here's a few sample photos I've taking recently - I pays to mention that I have edited these in VSCOCam.

Got myself a OnePlus 5T 128GB a couple of weeks ago, from PBTech. Instantly updated to Oreo out of the box. No more missing notification, crappy Bluetooth stack, characteristics of the Huawei Android implementation.

Dial111: Does it stream Netflix in full HD though 😂😂
Nope :P But who really watches netflix on a phone (this is coming from someone that has over 80gigs of roller over mobile data). Maybe i should start watching netflix lol
It does stream Netflix HD now - but you have to send the phone back to the manufacturer to have the keys installed.
I watch Netflix on the bus commute, but I download the content at home so this doesn't worry too much.

Malingo: Wow great pics. Those are impressive.
Cheers! The 1st image was taken using a ported GCam Pixel Mod which handles low light situations and post processing a LOT better - the other 2 were take with the standard cam.

Here's the bezel-free Oneplus 6 - complete with iPhone notch and (sadly) glass back. Given the massive disappointment from Sony at MWC, this is shaping up as a contender to be my next phone. Click on thumbnail for full size picture.
Thankfully these are only leaks / rumours
I really hope that the next iteration of the OP series stays well clear of the top notch, Essential phone has done it, Asus have copied it with the Zenfone 5 and Huawei is set to the same with the P20. The ceramic backing hints at wireless charging which IMO is gimmicky, even if they were to some how manage to pull off a Wireless Dash Charge.
I'd like to see OP take what's already a fantastic device and bring into the fold more of the now basic features commonly seen in today's flagships, i.e;
- Full HD is done, bring it up to QHD+
- Water / Dust resistance
- Reduce the top and bottom bezels slightly more and introduce some front firing speakers with quality audio
- A micro SD slow wouldn't go a miss, but not essential
- Probably the number 1 change that I would like to see is a dual camera with the secondary used for wide angle.
Small update last night, fixing a couple of sound-related bugs. No new Security Updates (still on December 2017).
