Hi all,
Im trying to find a mobile phone with the following in order of importance...cheers

1/ Good MP3 player with 3.5mm jack output. I need buttons (not touch screen) for rewinding, forwarding, stop etc. I listen to audiobooks etc while travelling and buttons make it way easier and safer. External Storage option at least 16g prefer 32g.

2/ GPS

3/ Video player avi & divx

Thanks

SonyEricsson have lots of models that would fit your criteria in their Walkman branded phone range.

The samsung i5700 is the only phone I know of with xvid/divx support. Also has 3.5mm and gps.

Android 1.6 upgradable to 2.1 I think.

And it's touch screen, which is one of the "don't wants"...

Hmmm with what you listed, both wants and don't-wants... And all I'll say is 'Good luck' if you don't want touch-screen...

How about a Nokia C6? Nokia has best GPS capabilities thanks to Ovi maps.

If you want DivX then you really need a Samsung, but most are touch screens. Perhaps try them, there are plenty of interfaces with large finger friendly buttons in the music player on offer.

Thanks guys, the Sony Walkmans look very button friendly which has grabbed my attention. There are quite a few phones that play divX but the ones Ive seen are touch screen. Is there a good comparison website out there?
Cheers

Yes, take a look at http://www.gsmarena.com. A good site to compare phones.

If you can wait, go for the Nokia N8 - it has it all!!!!

I don't think the N8 has DivX though, it was mentioned initially but has since dropped off the specs sheets.

Nokia N8 is touchscreen, which as said by the Op, it's a no-no!
