A friend of mine imported one of these and is very happy with it.

Out of the box the NZ EPG didn't work, but he loaded the Open Black Hole image which is compatible with NZ Freeview.
Hmm ... need a new TV in 2017 :)
(my tv's digital tuner is stuffed for some reason)

That is odd for that sort of thing to happen, what brand is it? I am guessing it isn't a premium brand.

It's just under 10 years old. Didn't think of CGA claim because I had a TIVO when it happened 5 years ago.
Does NZ use the same DVB-T as Oz?

From mammary, going way back, it does, but the channel spacing is different, so that would maybe need to be configurable within the software.
blakamin:Channel Band spacing is 8Mhz in NZ and 7Mhz in Aussie. I had a Strong DVR a few years back which was good until it died. That was able to be used here as it had settings to allow the user to change the spacing to 8 for here. If you want to bring a DVB-T pvr here from Aussie you need to check that the channel spacing is adjustable

HTPC Intel Pentium G3258 cpu, Gigabyte H97n-wifi motherboard, , 8GB DDR3 ram, onboard graphics. Hauppuage HVR 5500 tuner, Silverstone LC16M case, Windows 10 pro 64 bit using Nextpvr and Kodi
Might be worth some TiVo owners looking at the BeyonWiz... Apparently they're pretty awesome.
I have a FetchTv. The one Hybrid are doing a HN deal with.
sbiddle:Thank you sbiddle.
stone2: Can someone explain to me what Freeview plus is? Sounds like a good replacement.
Freeview Plus is a application for viewing on demand content through your TV. If you have a modern TV that supports HbbTV addons the Freeview Plus application will appear on your TV and allow you to scroll through the EPG and play back previous shows over the internet without needing to use an on demand app for TVNZ / Media Works like you used to have to do.
