I've been getting this message very day for the past few months. Even with the replacement unit.
Last nite when I switched over to it all my channels had vanished and I had to do a rescan to get them back..

This getting to be a pain and hope this new replacement TiVo is not developing a problem..

Regards,

No we haven't been getting that message. That's really weird. I wonder if it is related to the channels the TiVo sees on UHF, or if the 'lineup' is a list from the mothership.

Ours is having a problem were some channels, usually TV3 though, lose signal partially but its enough to make it unwatchable. The only way to get it back is rescan then we get that message you got. We got it once by itself the other day. Its getting really really annoying now.

I replaced the aerial and house cabling with a package from the Freeviewshop back in January so my feeds are 100% compared to what they used to be. .

Perhaps antenna got misaligned due to wind?

What signal strength does the TiVo diagnostics report on each tuner (for each digital mux stream)?

I was having the same issue. The new lineup message would appear everyday. My aerial was picking up two different transmitters and my channel lineup had two of each channel frequency listed.  My aerial might have been too powerful or something.
Since then I have moved to a new address and im now only picking up one transmitter. I have never had the message again. This is with the same Tivo box.
This will probably be of no help to you, but in my case it wasnt my Tivo that was the problem.

I occasionally get this message, but I remember just being able to dismiss it, it didn't actually require me to take any action.
I thought I had read in an earlier topic, but can't find it now, about this message coming up when someone's router was refreshing IP addresses every day or something like that?

Cheers,
Joseph

No. But it may have something to do with what jayd said. I get Sky Tower and Waitarua as I see two appearance for each channel. After a scan I have to change the one for Prime to the other one otherwize I get picture breakup..

My STB sees all the extra channels on Sky Tower like Shine and V1~ V6 but these come and go on the TiVo listings but there is no picture when they are there..

Ahha, so my theory may be correct. I reckon Tivo can't handle duplicate channels off multiple transmitters. Even after I deleted the additional channels, I still got the new channel lineup message the next day. My cabling was new RG6 with crimp connectors, but the aerial was a massive overkill beast of a thing that got 100% signal even with it inside the roof space! Maybe try pointing your aerial somewhere else until it only picks up one transmitter.

That maybe easier said that done as they are 180 degrees opposite each other so Sky Tower signal that is only 6Km away comes in the back of the aerial over the house roof..
My STB shows ST signal strength as about 20% where as Wiatarua is about 80 ~ 90% on most channels. Must check the signal strength on the TiVo when i get home..

Maybe you could use an inline attenuator to lower the signal strength of the ST signal to the point where the TiVo doesn't pick it up. However knowing how useless the tuners are, you'll probably get breakup on the signal you do want to receive. I wonder if you could get a cheap notch filter (fixed or tunable) to kill the ST signal.

I used to get this message almost daily for a while when the extra Asian channels were being set up. Often it would delete all my channel list and require a re-scan. When this happened I'd lose all my scheduled recordings from my record list. This was a total pain.
When I queried tech support, they told me this was being caused by the Broadcaster, Kordia, I assume. I tried disconnecting my Ethernet connection for a few days but the channel lineup still kept changing, mostly deleting the extra new channels and then re-enabling them.
It now only happens once every week or two.
I also have duplicates of most channels, with the second weaker set coming from East Coast Bays I think, which is on the back of my aerial pointed at Waiatarua. Sky Tower is at about right angles for me.
I don't have any problems with the same aerial feed running on my Magic3600, I'm pleased to say.
