Its not too bad, i have changed the SOC on the battery to 90% as a buffer as there were a few days where the battery didnt charge at all, so may as well just top it up and push what i can back to the grid on good days!

This is the last 30 Days

We've left our battery at 5%.

I dont think our electricity plan allows for topping up the battery from the grid.

But it do it once during a known Storm event.

I heard a rumour that battery#2 might arrive today.

Once that is running we will up the SOC to 20% to give us overnight buffer.

If you set the PW3 TOU plan it will charge from the grid, its just standard power usage. I set ours to fully charge between 3am to 6am when the power is free.

Really going to miss the Z EV plan.

If you haven't already take a photo of the QR code sticker on the main unit since the cover is off, it has the wifi connection details should you ever want to pull metrics directly or use NetZero to view the battery health.

I left soon after I took the photo.

What I can say now is that the whole system appears to be dead.

The app says there is no data.

Battery is zero, panels are zero (ok certainly now, but it was also saying zero when I left), and we are pulling 100% from the grid now.

To add insult to injury, the technician excused himself to do another job while our system "initialised" and that he would come back to check on it before the end of the day. That was the last Himself saw of him. He is much grumpy now.

We shall see what the morning brings.

If the sun comes up and the numbers dont start moving there's going to be a lot of very bad words said.

Ok words have been exchanged, and battery man came back today, bowing scraping and tugging his forelock.

It all seems to be working now.

They basically installed it wrong.

One issue, there was 2 and I dont remember the first one, was that the connectors had grease on them to prevent corrosion in storage, and the grease wasnt cleaned off before installation thus hindering a proper connection. Pretty basic stuff you'd think for an installer.

Curious what your pricing was for your PW3 expansion battery/install ? Have they been able to fully charge over the last few days ?

My comments and remarks are not necessarily of my employer.

Price from Harrisons, including installation, was about $11k.

And nope, since the install we have not been able to charge one battery let alone 2 😬

However, 3 fine days in a row forecast from tomorrow, so fingers crossed!

And bearing in mind, we are still getting further away from the sun for the next week and a bit.

EDIT:: oh oh oh, July 4 was furtherest away day! Stronger sun rays from now on.
