Hi,

I have a old model HRV and I have replaced the filter I'm wondering how to turn off the light?

This is what the control panel looks like:

Has anyone ever reset one of these?

I think I found it in the manual. Google hrv reset filter light, and the link to the manual should be near the top. On my phone sorry I can't be more helpful.

Thanks, that's not it unfortunately. The filter I bought had these instructions:

switch off the control panel
press down button for 8 seconds (will beep after 3 but keep going for the full 8 seconds)
0.2 is displayed in the roof and -20 is displayed in the house
push on on/off button and a 1 or a 5 will be displayed
push on on/off button again & again to cycle though the numbers until you come back to the 1 or 5 being displayed again.
push the function button to confirm

Only thing is there's no down button on this controller

There must be some combination of button presses??

I can't check on mine unfortunately as the panel we have now is the next model up (but not the latest). You could try contacting the supplier of the filter?

Did you try asking the manufacturer? Seems like a reasonable first step.

When you've bypassed their service and done it yourself, leaving them significantly out of pocket (their service is a ripoff), I'd expect an icy response.

I don't personally recall having one on that model. Our current one definitely does.

I'd start by using the supplied instructions and pick a button to replace down.

My first choice would be the on/off button.

Cheers everyone for your replies

Its the 'Replace Filter' Light that is flashing

I contacted HRV but got frustrated as they were trying to up sell me the new model - so I thought Id ask on here.

The 2 online manuals doesn't say how to do it unfortunately

I'll email the supplier of the new filter - see what happens

Thanks once again everyone

After reading their manuals, I'm pretty sure my previous post will be the answer.

For the ventilation setting, the newer model says turn the unit off, hold the down arrow for 3 seconds. The one you have says turn the unit off, hold the on/off button for 3 seconds.

I cant see any reason the filter light would be different.

You need to hold it down for 8 second for the filter light, but otherwise yes I'd agree.

I got a replacement aftermarket filter from Ventsure for my mum's HRV. Their instruction page has quite a bit of info. Her controller was different to yours.

Piece of duct tape as previously mentioned or ignore it, it's not as though its a check engine light and the world will end.
