anyone know anything about Sigenergy 20.0 TP inverter 3ph?

i see sigenergy saying their hybrid inverter can handle 100% unbalanced loads. does the 20.0 tp do that or is that an older model?

work got a quote for a system that i'm picking apart. 2x 1000v strings 10kw each.  i see sigenergy only lists their own battery pack as compatible and the quote for a battery is 10x the price of other similar sized packs. are they that expensive or is it the salesperson saying we don't have any batteries.

All the specs are here: https://www.sigenergy.com/uploads/en_download/1693469427819336.pdf

If you're going for the Sig stack then yes you need their battery. A 9KW Sig Battery cost me about 5k - what are you comparing to that's 10x cheaper?

Where did you get a 9kWh Sig battery for about $5k from?

What was your total quote with and without battery?

I'm looking for a similar sized system.

catch is the 20 tp is not on their website, unless i was blind which happens.

the quote for extra battery was "starting at $20k" (smallest for this is 5kw) a quick google showed a few 5kw going for $2k (tho i don't know if that needs other controllers etc to go with it). either way the quote price for the battery is massively excessive, which could be done to discourage battery sale (ie old model that they can't get any more, or a rather bad typo).

something you might want to consider for a commercial system is the load.

they have a nice graph of power usage vers solar generation, but i don't know if they have accounted for weekends. our loading after hours is very small. we have a fan and dehumidifier going and thats it. so weekends its 90% of generation going to the grid which is a lot of waste.

the other part of that is our loading during the day. because we are so small our loads will be fairly peaky. eg compressor run for 5 min using solar power, compressor turns off for and the solar feeds the grid. a lot of our machines are like that. we are not big enough that there is enough machines running to provide an average. unfortunately its something that will never be in the power usage data short of running a data logger on a power meter.  so this means we could be using less solar than expected and exporting more.  this is really where we should have a battery to smooth out the supply/demand.

i need to work out what size battery we need to capture 2 days of summer solar production.

its all itemized etc, thats not really the issue.

its more about making sure we get what we expect to get. both in hardware and in returns, especially as our loading is not like a house hold or a big business.

last time we looked at this we where down right lied to.

What batteries have they quoted and about what is the price?

You're not comparing the price to some Trade Depot rubbish or something?

as i mentioned above, the battery quote was simply "starting at $20k" and the smallest for this is 5kw.

But it's an itemized quote you say......

Sounds like maybe you should go back to them and get some detail.

the quote is battery-less system, with an addon price if we wanted a battery. the boss is hopefully asking for clarification on the battery and load details etc. hopefully getting other quotes as well.
