Batman:have an idea. hardcode default 1080 30 fps, with an option to enable 60fps?

What are the best devices for the best experience?
I've lent family my old Chromecast 1 as Spark noted Chromecast was supported for the RWC.
I'm also not sure if going out and buying something better is beneficial at this point as the old Chromecast is currently not going to be any worse than the latest and greatest....
and this is exactly why it wouldnt have been the right move to go oh btw, anything later than the gen 3 chromecast is nolonger supported.
From what you've provided, you're making a case for why the *default* stream should be something that works well on as many devices as SS deems reasonable. I.e. 25/30 fps. And you've indicated there are further undisclosed details that would moreso drive that. OK.
But I would appreciate it if you could address whether SS could provide two streams, where the 50/60 fps stream would be manually selected by the customer, say as an "advanced" option?
SS has already proved they can supply the two types of stream, just not at the same time.
So disappointing. Was really looking forward to the start of the premier league.
Am trying to watch on an apple tv - but such a blurr - even with fibre.
Something has to be done about this.....

Exactly, just have 2 streams, like Amazon Prime do. In their case, one option for 4k and one for 1080.
Does Spark have the bandwidth to stream full 60fps as more subscriptions (especially those they have given away) come online?
Panasonic 65GZ1000, Onkyo RZ730, Atmos 5.1.2, AppleTV 4K, Nest Mini's, PS5, PS3, MacbookPro, iPad Pro, Apple watch SE2, iPhone 15+

Any comments made are personal opinion and do not reflect directly on the position my current or past employers may have.
They are using Akamai, so in theory bandwidth shouldn't be an issue.

Much of the stuff I don't comment on, I simply don't have an answer.
That's not to say I won't attempt to get one.
Many of the things said here I do note down. There are also plenty of others that silently read here.
I'll confirm that yes I'll be seeking a guiding response to the question about multiple streams.
Spark sport does already offer multiple streams of the same content for different bandwidth requirements . I suspect multiple frame rates would add alot of complexity rather than just bring "an option".
Thank you for your continued calm and helpful responses. We understand you may not have the answer(s), but it's nice feeling like the feedback is going somewhere it can be actioned and that we might be able to get some answers as a result.

That's cool, your presence & following up on our feedback is very much appreciated. We really do all have a common goal here - to make SS as great as possible!

This. Criticism of the platform, its features, and other things, aren't personal to the Spark people who give up their free time to contribute here.
What happened?????
Thread was at 123 pages, now suddenly dropped back to 117 pages.
More frame drops /s
If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

Content is severed from the akamai caches within providers rsps networks.
I have no concern about sparks capability to deliver the bandwidth required for spark customers.. Network folk here have made absolutely sure they have covered their bases.
1080p60fps and 1080p30fps both are 6mbit encoder profiles.
As stated previously its purely a move around device compatability.
how do people with these devices watch netflix and other streaming services?
