Just tried the Newcastle game, won't load at all for me. City vs Brighton is lagging with both sound and video quite regularly for me.

What about the Fire TV?
were you using the previous androidtv apk posted in this thread on the firetv? if yes then it be the same
richardgnz: Tested the football this morning and it is looking a lot better. The ball motion is good.
I then tested the Rugby World Cup NZ vs France 2015 match and the motion is still horrible.
The change applies to content as from when they went back to 60fps, anything already there is what it was

I would love spark to rencode an old match with the new settings so we can see what the rugby will look like when the world cup starts...
I dont see how that would give a guide. Its artificial. Isn't there a RWC pre tournament match soon? Before RWC starts?
I'd also like to get an idea on what it's going to look like. I looked at a few of the older videos but they aren't that great (even since the FPS upgrade) and I am unsure if this is indicative of the "final" product. Hopefully, soon they will have something to show us.
Anyone notice how the streams where changing quality as well as framerate? it would look with great movement and then suddenly drop to 25fps before going back to 50fps... Android TV app (not latest version posted here though).

Nope network is all fine; 37mbps vdsl, domain controllers are ok and pointing internal network to 2Degrees DNS servers, Unifi network is showing no conflicts and USG wasn't at max use. Wasn't all the time but it was clear that the stream quality was dropping including framerate and then would pop back to 1080p/50.
Benoire:The motion is so sweet to my eyes now; much much improved! They still need to sort the categories and folders out as its still a bit of a mess in the app but I can't fault the stream. Seems to have the occasional judder on the F1 where it drops out breifly but do not know if that's internet or feed itself just done it right now on the footy.

Yes the streaming problems are ongoing. But nit having the primer league tv channal is a big loss from last year.
Make sure you message spark to tell them this.
Let's get the pressure on them
I guess this will be an interesting and on-going covnersation. With traditional DVB methods, i.e. Sky, the system was simply satellite > dish > dedicated cable > box; with online streaming the issues could be anywhere and there is no certainty that the streaming will be clear all the time...
networkn: Can someone please provide a link to the latest Sony Android TV app or whatever is compatible with fire TV too?
I have a 2016 Sony 49" 800D - Earlier this week the Android TV OS updated online to Oreo 8. After the update I went to Google Playstore within Android TV and downloaded the Spark Sport App. Installed and ran great.

I noticed that in some interviews, that the video would stop for maybe 1 to 1.5 seconds then resume. The start of the F3, before it started had a camera view of Eau Rouge, there were cars on sighting lap before the grid lineup, a car would appear, freeze for 1 to 1.5 seconds then continue. But, this never happened in the FP and Quali that I watched, admittedly only 30 mins of FP1 buildup, last 30 mins of FP3, and Quali. Its also didnt happen in the commentary buildup
