The TV Guide for Kodi for NZ is out by 1 hour. e.g. 1 News at 6pm shows as starting at 5pm. This is probably something to do with daylight saving time. Is there a setting I need to set to adjust the time?

Oh no, not another end of the world prediction

I had this for a while, found there was a 'reset' option somewhere that seemed to clear the entire EPG and reload it.

Will let you know when I find the option again when I get home (unless someone else gets in before me).

You can time shift the epguide in the config of basic PVR addon, but don't expect the aus chans to line up ever again. So I've learnt :)

Every Kodi version seems to be different, but in 17.4 you have to go to System, PVR and Live TV, Guide, Clear Data.

Same same. I've only noticed it over the last few days.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it didn't work.

Settings, Addons, PVR IPTV, EPG Settings, EPG Time Shift. Then +1

Then do the reset. Worked for me to re-align

I found I was unable to get the epg time shift correct on SPMC, no matter what I did it was always 11 hours out. On Kodi it worked fine.

I am also running SPMC and the guide is correct for me. Don't know what the difference is.

Probably wrong thread, but anyway, anyone know the format of Freeview via IPTV, or whatever its called. Is there a table somewhere of which are HD, which are SD and their exact resolutions. Also what I really want to know, progressive or interlaced, if that even applies to IPTV.

It really depends on the channel. There is no general Freeview standard - they're all just broadcasters providing their own streams independent of Freeview. The .m3u URL supplied in this thread is just grouping them together.

Most of the channel streams are HLS streams, which is a popular IPTV format originally created by Apple. It can support one more resolutions and bitrates, and switch between them depending on factors like user's network bandwidth and playback device. The bigger broadcasters like TVNZ and Canwest typically provide multiple resolution/bitrate streams, up to 720p (progressive). Maori TV providers streams up to 1080p stream.  The other channels are lower bitrate, standard-def-like resolutions.

Most are progressive, but they can be interlaced too.

Thanks for the info. Am in a DVB-S area and its nice to have higher res and progressive instead of interlaced available this way (well for quite as few of them anyway).

Was trying TV in Emby a bit and it transcodes LiveTV via DVB-S as its interlaced. Was hoping it would direct play this IPTV stuff if its progressive but it still transcodes. Oh well, hopefully one day...

Sorry, I can't really provide you any advice on use with Emby. If you use NextPVR, you can watch these in NextPVR or Kodi without any transcoding.
