TroyRF:
psychnurse: Back up and running on Telecom VDSL with Overplay. Someone up the top cares about customer service. Well done Telecom

We care from top to bottom, and we're glad to hear viewers are back in action. :) The team's worked hard and fast to help customers out with this.

I should have reworded that. What I was trying to say was the Telecom team (maybe you are a member)  presented the boss( top person) with the issue and he/she said do it (flick that switch) as I trust my teams judgement and recommendations.

Thanks again for your hard work.

I second that.

Great work and thanks to the Telecom team.

skewt: On a side note to this, I am having issues with the Auckland based Unotelly Server so if people are still having issues, try the AUS based ones and see if it works for you

what I have noticed so far:
Cant load facebook images
cant connect to www.idownloadblog.com
Images in Netflix stopped loading
When using Unotelly Auckland DNS/BigPipe

Hi Skewt,

Are you still having issue with loading Facebook images? If yes, please PM me.

i hope that VF manages to roll in fixes soon for their customers - and I agree with the comments here that they are way more likely to do a stealth fix rather than an overt NF fix. It may be possible to find another situation where caching breaks something though if they dont - if you couldnt access another, non geoblocked service, they would have to react more overtly.

Secondly, and most importantly, THANK YOU to Nick from UnoTelly, and the Unblock team and everyone who contributed here. i like others, was helping out where I could to provide testing, wireshark traces etc, and I am completely blown away by how much effort these guys put in (do you even sleep?), and how damned friendly that are too - even with non-customers...

Great PR like tbis goes a long way, and whilst I dont need a DNS service as such (I have SS Global Mode), I'm condidering becoming a UnoTelly customer for the region switch flexibilty, and I will CERTAINLY promote UnoTelly to others who are looking for a solution to stream NF etc. Thanks Again Nick!

Just tested 10 shows/movies in a row on Voda unlimited with Unblock-Us and seems to be working fine now.

Hear, hear! Thanks also to Troy and the Telecom team for responding so quickly once the issue was pinpointed.

Damm straight bro! I have always and will continue to plug UnoTelly to those that want to know how I got NF at home. Also kudos to unblock-us and Getflix for being there in the fray, sorting stuff but most importantly, actually working with their competitors for the benefit of ALL customers! That is something we just don't see in this day and age. If only the political parties could follow your lead!

Thank you Troy and team at Telecom! Now all good again, if wasn't already with you guys I'd be looking at moving about now.

However, also need to thank unotelly nick for his time testing with me the other night for several hours when it would've been around 4am his time!

Yeah, for those on VF, don't get too excited yet. For myself, the experience can be described more accurately as "Unlike a few days ago where failure was 100% guaranteed, I now get spurts of 70% success which can turn in a heartbeat to 10 failures in a row". Realistically speaking, for those who are on VF, let's be realistic about their customer service -- it's never been the most responsive nor the best. If the Telecom fix is long-lasting and confirmed, I remain confident that VF will also come to the party. But nothing about VF's history should lead anyone to think that they will be a market-leader in terms of speed of response here. And it does look like any fix will just be "Ninjaed" since VF appears adamant that it will remain silent on this issue.

My significant other reports that streaming woes on Telecom seem resolved. Good effort Telecom, likely sees me remain a satisfied customer with you for some time yet (probably not changing now until someone brings VDSL/fibre to my address, which looks to be after 2016 sometime).

The IP addresses for the Netflix CDN's had to be bypassed on the proxies because of the changed Netflix made to their US & Canada service in their URL strings.
Can anyone else on Telecom confirm theirs are working ok now too? :)
