Being an avid fan of musicals, I am looking forward to the release of Steven Spielberg's version of WEST SIDE STORY on iTunes.

Good news is, that its streaming on Disney+ from March 2nd. If you have a subscription to Disney+, you probably don't give a monkey's about an iTunes release. For the rest of us we should get it on iTunes at the same time. I'm hoping that Disney won't be trying to recoup their losses from the poor Box-Office take, by charging iTunes users $24.99 for a rental. Otherwise I may have to subscribe for a month, it would be cheaper 🤑

The other question is where is the New Ghostbusters movie?. Its already been released on Disc etc overseas ie USA. Bit slow down this end of the world. I have never preordered a film, be it disc or stream. I normally turn up to the store on release or rent/buy on itunes on the day.

The Good news is that GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE (2021) has arrived with no fanfare on iTunes NZ. Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos sweetens the package.

The Bad news is that it will cost you $29.99 to buy, or $24.99 to rent. Methinks that I should wait for the inevitable price drop.

There is also a new GHOSTBUSTERS bundle containing; GHOSTBUSTERS (1984), GHOSTBUSTERS II (1989) and GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE (2021). Priced at $39.99.

Several titles are becoming available for $34.99 or $29.99, which I personally think is too much for a digital copy of the movie. I don't know how many people are prepared to pay those amounts for a digital copy, but they are getting close to the physical media prices now.

There are two listings on iTunes, Distributed by Universal Pictures and Warner Bros.

The Warner Bros. listing is the one that has upgraded. Universal is still HD only.

For those of us patiently waiting for SPIDER-MAN: No Way Home to be released on iTunes, I have finally got some news.

The Physical Media release is set for April 13th (NZ), so expect an iTunes release a little earlier than that.

Considering that The Godfather Trilogy is getting a 50th Anniversary 4K UHD release in March. I grabbed the 3-Movie Bundle (Inc. both Godfather III versions) hoping for a free upgrade to 4K.
