Sorry, I didn't check NFL forums before posting about delay. This is a lot worse than I expected:

"Unfortunately, there will always be a delay due to the processing time it takes to encode the streams and then redistribute them to NFL Game Pass subscribers. Thanks dwl love that answer.

I know there will be a few seconds of delay somewhere in this. I'm reminded to last season when my team were playing a Monday evening (early morning Tuesday here) game and my wife was on the Skype phone to her brother in the UK and she announced to me in the kitchen that Spurs had just scored. I was able to watch the goal live on Sky Sports as I ran from the kitchen to the lounge.

Spooky.

I want to present a screenshot to demonstrate the difference between what Richard is seeing and my view of the same. On my screen I've frozen his video footage of the EPL clip at roughly the same point - yet the difference in quality is stark. Easier to show that talk about, so...

What's the easiest way to show a Windows screenshot in this forum? (sorry I'm new here)

Doroke, easiest way is Snipping Tool if you're using Windows 7 or 8, otherwise print screen button and paste in to Windows Paint.

Yep - understand that thanks. More specifically how do I paste the screen captured image into my Compose Reply screen?

I doesn't let me do the obvious Ctrl-V ,and Edit > Paste functions aren't there.

The only thing I see is an Insert/Edit image button on my tool-bar that demands a Source which is a text input box. URL address maybe?

Ah you either upload it to geekzone by selecting 'Upload an Image' http://www.geekzone.co.nz/imageupload.asp or upload with flickr, skydrive etc which should be higher quality.

I think what Richard is asking is quite important as the larger the screen size, the larger the actual pixles and therefore the worse an image looks at a lower resolution, lower bitrate.

Every forum page has a link to UPLOAD your image. After uploading you copy the code presented and it will be in your post

You can't CTRL V a screenshot because you need the image hosted somewhere. That's what uploading the image does for you.

(You can do a Paste in Firefox under certain conditions).

Thanks team. Was looking for the upload image function. I'll present the comparison presently.

PS I do understand completely stuff around image resolution etc; Just in case anyone cares I was in the lost WVGA BB team (envelope) that lost out to the same named WVGA team that adopted the 16:9 (letterbox) format back in the early 90s. If anyone can remember the WSVGA team they'd know how rich the debate on resolution/aspect ratios was back then.

Ok Dororke,

That looks like a monitor and not full screen. To compare you need to output to something around 50-60" @ 1080p or better fullscreened. Mine looks 'ok' in the mini window on the website but terrible when viewing how I would watch it.

So from the previous image you'll see my freeze framed part in the ELP clip (Left) and compare it to Richard's EPL video of the same clip (Right). Now I fully understand the conditions aren't directly comparable. Aside of the obvious angles and video to digital encoding plus all the other paraphernalia, and my own monitors resolution; one has to agree the differences are stark for what are both in essence a similar sized motion picture.

Why so. On the left you can read most every detail of the hoardings. In Richard's you would struggle to name the sponsor.

If you've been avidly following this thread then why is my image and playback, with seemingly inferior band width and hardware, superior to Richards?

Well it looks to me as if you're not watching it in fullscreen, but Richard was, which would probably explain it. In the small screen, the image looks fairly good, although still has problems with motion. But when stretched out to full screen, it looks appalling. So bad it's almost as if there's a bug in flash player! Which is pretty bad, who wants to pay for the service and for the data used by a 3000kbps stream and not even be able to watch it in full screen mode? We want to be able to watch it in our lounges!
