Apsattv:

Sorry if it wasnt clear

kiwitv.m3u is a CLEAN compatible list for most devices

kiwitv2.m3u is the modified one with logos and guide compatible for Kodi simplepvr

Thanks Apsattv for providing these links - kiwitv2.m3u works for me.

I do, however, have a question regarding the EPG/Guide while using kiwitv2.m3u - how / what do I set in the IPTV Simple Client in Kodi in order to get the guide? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

FYI, works in Emby for me. Well sort of. Plays most streams except TV1, TV2. Duke does work, so does TV3. Still haven't checked if its anything to do with using a DNS service, or maybe something to do with normally logging in to TVNZ, but then that's not a problem for Duke. Also haven't tried getting the guide or TV logos. Hopefully one day...

The plugin by "he who shall not be named" works well on Windows and OpenElec R.Pi2.

sen8or:

Could any of the streams be used in an appleTV4 somehow?

There are a few apps that seem to accept streaming from an URL (infuse) for example but I'm not sure on how it would work

Cheers

Sen

It works well using this app - TV Streams https://appsto.re/nz/TDCO_.i

Just chuck the .m3u link in the app and it will populate on the app, there is an apple tv app and all the links sync via iCloud.

Fortunately for me I picked it up when it was free so unsure how much it costs now? But for a few bucks it is would be quite good value

Tutorial by Matt H nameless who can't be posted here but deserves credit (edited from original)

To set up in simple pvr kodi

From the KODI Main Menu, navigate to Add-ons -> My Addons -> PVR Clients.
Scroll down to PVR IPTV Simple Client and select it.

Note:
If you do not have the "PVR Clients" menu or the "PVR IPTV Simple Client" listed:
Navigate to Add-ons -> Add-on Browser -> Install from Repository -> All Repositories -> PVR Clients -> PVR IPTV Simple Client.

Then click Install. Then continue with the below steps.

Now select "Configure".

Under "General", set the "M3U Playlist URL" to: http://apsattv.com/kiwitv2.m3u

Move to "EPG Settings" and set "XMLTV URL" to: http:// removed (google matt freeview xml to locate the address of the xml playpath)

Move to "Channel Logos" and set "Channel Logos from XMLTV" to: Prefer XMLTV

Then select "OK".

Now simply Enable the add-on.
(If the add-on is already enabled, disable it, and then re-enable it)

You might need to restart kodi for it to refresh

Because I believe in credit where credit is due I have added the link to the original article in the previous post by @apsattv.

I probably missed this somewhere, but where do you get a guide for the international stuff - Sky News UK, Euronews etc. Also is TVNZ 1 and 2 working for you people, does using a DNS type thing interfere ?

Can confirm that the streams posted earlier for TV1 & TV2 do infact work when added to the TVStreams apple TV app, I don't know if there is a channel guide available in the TV Streams app, but its there. Quality wise though, it seems a marked step down from broadcast channels through my DishTV STB, with the image full of artefacts / blockiness. Have others quality poor?

I installed yesterday to my Linux Lite and after searching I had to install simplepvr from repositories. So after a bit got it working except TVNZ channels. TV3 and Shine are okay but cant get TV1 or 2 or their plus channels.

I've got DNS so maybe that's the issue but only rt news works with http://apsattv.com/kiwitv2.m3u added to my fire TV using perfect player.
