SwansNZ: Any news on when Sommet and Sky are showing their delayed games – I can’t see anything scheduled yet

Sommet showing the Chelsea game at 11am Monday morning. And also have a placeholder in their guide for the other team at 9:30 Sunday night.

Still no sign of any of the delayed games on Sky's schedule yet and they have not yet responded to my question yesterday afternoon on Facebook. Checked the guide on MySky before leaving for work this morning and it went as far as 11.30am next Tuesday and still nothing. Hoping this means they just haven't worked it out yet and will add them to the schedule soon rather than games not being shown until Wednesday or later. If the latter is the case then I'll have to watch another way as I'm not going to try and avoid results for 4 days.

The problem I can see with the Sky schedule is fitting in the games. There doesn't appear to be many spots available to fit in 4 games. I'm starting to think Sky might be a bust!!

I see they still haven't updated game times for this weekend. Namely the Liverpool vs Stoke match.

Who wants to put money on the fact there will be problems and I wont to get to watch my team opening kick off because of unforeseen errors despite the emails a week in advance asking about it.

I see PLP still has every game scheduled for 2am Sunday.
How hard is it for them to get it right and update their schedules with the correct days/times?

If they can't get this simple thing right, it does not give you much confidence.

After repeated emails to PLP for info on when we can expect the apps, this is the answer I got from them this morning:

Greetings,

Thank you for contacting Premier League Pass support.

Apps for mobile devices and tablets for iOS and Android are being finalized and will be launched shortly.

Apple TV access to Premier League Pass will be possible by using the AirPlay function from your iOS device to send the stream from your device to the Apple TV.

We appreciate your patience while apps are finalized.

Sincerely,

Premier League Pass Support

Exactly. Easiest thing they've had to do since getting the rights and they get it wrong...

Wonder if I am about to piss away $150

What's up with the Bullsht sign up process? Have to provide a phone number? I only have a cell phone that it won't accept.

TAB account holders in luck, some guys over on the yellow fever forums had got 15% off codes, so I emailed them

"Hello Jarrod,

I believe the emails and codes are due to come out this week. At this stage I don't have anything more than a very basic outline - 15% discount and available to TAB customers who have an active account and have registered an email address with us, We are still awaiting further information on this promotion but hopefully there will be details available on the TAB website in the next day or two. When I receive further information I will forward this on to you

Kind regards,

Mike Waite"

I gave my mobile number, not my home number.
I think it had to be in the format 64-123456789

So here's a technical query for all the network Ninjas out there.

Will PLP have an agreement somewhere that guarantees them enough bandwidth to stream the content of 'x' number of live games from the UK to the CDN in NZ. I know once it's here, it's a domestic issue but let's say 10+ games live at 5Mbps over the SC Cable which we all know can be a bottleneck.

Which leads to the next question, how live will live actually be? A couple of seconds delay or closer to a minute because they will have to receive, compress (for the different bandwidths) and store the data for distribution.

It doesn't really make any difference to me - just curious.

Procrastination eventually pays off.
