gjen: I'm gonna see if I can access http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra/ and watch this way for free before trying to sign-up for a local service...

That service is like espn3.com where you have to login with your tv provider. worth a shot but probably won't work (unless you know someone in the US with the relevant cable subscription.)

Just dropped $204 on the platinum package.
I was experiencing a bit of pixelation when going full screen (noticed it on NFL gamepass too) so I googled it, and found that others had had issues with chromes own flash plugin, and if you disable it and just use the universal plugin it's better, So i did that and it's better now.

Fu$k stil not sure what to do, if Sommets delayed Liverpool games are more than 12 hours delayed, will probably pay for PLP.

Why could Sky just get te rights, easier then!

Just listening now. Tim Martin reckons there won't be any restrictions on the games TVNZ can play so could be games from the top 6 every week.

Edit: Also sounds like they've got the same thing as they do with NFL gamepass where someone bookmarks the goals, yellow/red cards, and highlights. so you can skip straight to that play.

Yeh I listened to that this morning. He says HD is on the way which is good to hear, but the stuff he said about the on-demand viewing window seems to directly contradict what plp's customer service has advised.

It is, it will be cached at Akamai in NZ.

Obviously the original stream comes from the UK, but they only need to pull down 1 stream and then locally people will stream from akamai which will provide a good experience.
this means you don't get 10,000 people all trying to stream the same thing from an international destination, which would be a rubbish experience.

This is how they replied to me.....

Greetings,

The one time is not been enforced.

All games will be archived for on demand or replay viewing but some
matches will only be avaible until the start of the next round. There
will be 250 matches that are available on demand or in replay for the
duration of your subscription. The other 130 matches will only be
available on demand or on replay until the start of the next round or
about a week's time. You can access those multiple times within that
period.

If you have any additional questions please let us know.

Thank you,
Premier League Pass Support

.......can't really hold them to it, of course, but it does sound like there has been a concious decision not to enforce the one time viewing.

It would help if they gave out consistent info though.

Graham

Well on the podcast he said that every game could be watched within 24 hours of the live game, and 250 could be watched on demand until the next round of matches. It is, as you say, very inconsistent.
