heh thats a classic response... I tend not to post things on google play as you can sometimes get not so helpful responses. Will raise this with SS again... Just seems to happen only when casting from this app, the other apps that can cast are fine.

Hi there. I was keen to try spark sports with a view to subscribe for the EPL next season. But it only lasted for a day cos every channel i tried had a regular and consistent frame skip/jump about one a second or so. Which completely ruins any sport.
I had the same results on my LTE phone, desktop and android box browser. I have a static IP and 100/100 from myrepublic business. In the waikato. So unless spark get their system sorted i will miss the season, unless sky get it back again... Very disappointed..

A quick short update please??

I've been out of the country since page 74, and my jet-lagged brain cant handle 14 pages of reading.

I know the super early bird RWC offer expires today or tomorrow, so I am wondering if SparkSport have got their stuff sufficiently sorted to leap onboard now, or if its still a debacle of monstrous proportions which shows no signs of being ready in time for the RWC?

I have a new Samsung TV, which last I heard there would be an app for by the end of May. Has that happened yet?

I'd generally say stream quality is great, some of the earlier picture issues have been resolved and artifacting appears limited. The VOD issue of delayed creation is now more in line to where it should be, ~30 minutes after end of programme.... Still could be better, i.e. the vod asset surely could be created during live play but its much better than up to 4 hours!

The android app is currently my bug bear as its got usability issues and is crashing ~2 hours in to a race when casting... There are multiple possibilities as to why this is happening but unfortunately this is the nature of streaming, Spark will only do so much. I'm waiting for the Android TV app as that should solve my issues; browser viewing appears to be fine.

Apps look like they're set for a June release.

I hadn't heard that your app is ready end of May, I know they are coming, and ATV4 is June

In answer to your post, I used to use SS, looking for issues to feed back, or ask about. I just use it now, I expect it to work 100% and it does, so for me, its now It Just Works. However, there is a bug in a latest update to iOS that causes the iPad to stay in Portrait in the menu, thats being fixed. I believe that if you use via a webpage, some browsers have the start of the content 29 minutes in and not at the start, whereas the apps are fine. There is now a + - 10 second click option, this is on web based versions, will be on the iOS/Android apps soon.

My platform is iPad airplayed to ATV4, or casted to CCu

If it was casted double check your tv/cc is at the right refresh rate.

Otherwise it sounds like user equipment not the service...

Thanks for the updates.

As for OTT, last I remember was people cancelling their subs en-masse because it was so unreliable. So it is good to hear that seems to be progressing in the right direction now.

I'm hoping Samsung get an app out, but if not I will have to cast to CCu via ipad mini 4, or Win10 i7 PC.

During Monaco race and qualifying replays, I was getting repeated drop outs from Airplay every fifteen minutes. I'd have to resume on my phone and then push to Airplay (2nd Gen ATV) again. I'll make sure I've restarted my devices before the next race in case that helps.

General Monaco playback was good, although static images had some horrible horizontal line artifacts.

I watched those via replay, to ATV4. No issues. If it was a SS issue I would have had 15 minute dropouts and artifacts as well I would have thought

I've purchased the RWC pass.

I watched the first game of the 87 RWC to test - worked perfectly, and I actually quite enjoyed the game (I ended up watching about 30 minutes after telling myself I was just testing the service).
