For Rugby Union http://www.rugby.livesport.tv/

I signed up to this last night. Had trouble via Unblock-Us as they don't support it so I installed Hola Unblocker on Chrome and got it. $9 NZD per month for Super 15 and Rugby Championship. Will test the quality this weekend, looking forward to it!

NonprayingMantis:  I believe that the region you use is irrelevant in terms of where the content is stored.  i.e. if you watch breaking bad on NZ Netflix it will pull it from NZ servers.  If you watch it on USA Netflix from NZ, it will still pull it from NZ servers.

Interesting - so whereabouts does the content come from for those of us currently using Netflix, given there are not yet any NZ (or Aus) servers - just the closest servers to NZ? And, given what you've said, will there be less of a delay when starting to stream content (and less buffering issues) once servers are located here? (The delay can sometimes be quite long, and certainly was longer than the NZ-located Lightbox when I trialed that, and this is on fibre so I doubt the delays I've experienced are caused within NZ).

the most popular stuff will come off Akamai within NZ I think.  Other stuff will be streamed direct from nearest Netflix owned server (LA I think)
With Netflix launching here, they will presumably be putting some of their own servers in NZ with all the NZ content. So deoending on the overlap between NZ and US libraries you should expect that stuff to come down a bit faster.

how will this bill the government affect parralel imported tv, ie US Netflix, I thought it was targeted at file sharing but i read somewhere it could be a concern for those who use VPN services to access overseas internet TV. i could have it all wrong, but thats what i thought i read into it.

im suprised we still have no idea of what is due next month with netflix, what the line up is.

ive been quite happy with lightbox trial, almost finished breaking bad, which is not normally the type of tv i enjoy. orange new black was ok for first few episodes. i like the vikings show. its also cheap. so overall undecided if ill keep it on, depends on when netflix is announcing its nz line up.

We do have some idea of what will NOT be available, such as House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, which must be a new level of absurdity with licensing.

I tried my little region switcher (setting to NZ) and immediately it prompted me with "Sorry, Netflix hasn't come to this part of the world yet".

When will you post the Netflix NZ version to LemonTV?

I see Netflix have announced NZ and Australian Launch date as 24th March:
http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2015/03/netflix-australian-launch-date-revealed-march-24/

Partnering with Vodafone in NZ for unmetered content? Or is that free Netflix?:

Netflix is also partnering with Vodafone New Zealand to offer customers free streaming when customers sign up to new plans.

Looks like Unmetered - no biggie for everyone already on Unlimited.

No sign of content, or if NZ will get the deal with the XBoxOne.
