Im a little dissapointed. Bought an 8 series samsung smart tv in late 2017.

Got told the app was out. doesnt appear to be in the store. Updated TV no luck.

So im thinking of buying a R Pi or a nuc or something I just want it sorted... have missed a few nba games already and already bought my RWC pass. So need to get something sorted... any suggestions?

Yeah if you use a nuc you’ll be constantly using a browser. There won’t be an app for that. So will also need a keyboard mouse etc. Personally I don’t like trying to use a web site from couch distances. Find text and links etc too small and annoying.

Agree. Browser can be ok, but an app is far far better. Doesnt matter what its on, as long as its an app. Browsers are great but they do so many things. An app does ONE thing

That why a PS4 or Xbox is better than a PC with the same specs. (For gaming)

To be honest I don’t really care. Don’t want to blame anyone. It doesn’t achieve much. What would be helpful is to know what is the best solution to get this going since I am a subscriber.

Maybe I get a chrome cast and do it from my phone.. or maybe get a NUC.i don’t know. I was disappointed that spark made a big deal about how they were releasing an app for 2017 Samsung TVs then it doesn’t appear in the App Store. But I can get over that. Just want some options to actually get it working

It says

From today, Spark Sport is available as an app on selected Samsung Smart TVs. Customers purchasing a 2019 Samsung TV will have Spark Sport pre-loaded on the TV, while customers with a 2017 or 2018 model will be able to easily download Spark Sport from the Samsung App Store.

Might it be an Android app store vs Samsung app store? Whatever app store any TV supports, it will cease at some point. Even ubiquitous apps such as YouTube cease.

Watching the F1 via web browser this weekend and have noticed that I no longer get the 60fps stream. Is anyone else experienceing this ?

I've been getting a highly variable quality feed from Spark Sport this weekend, nothing has changed from my end and the bandwidth and congestion appears to be ok as Netflix, lightbox etc. play fine... Just spark sport seeming a bit off...

Yeh I noticed this too. I have also found the stream quality much worse this weekend. The encoding of the gravel on the F3 last night was flickering really badly.

I also discovered this weekend that if I cast to a my 2019 Sony TV I get stuttering but if I cast to the Nvidia Shield its really smooth. Could help some people that have been experiencing stuttering. I havn't tried an actual Chromecast.

On the spark sport chat and they have advised that the Austrian gp is only available in 25fps.

As for the stuttering on chrome cast I have found setting it to 50hz helps with this issue.

The spark sport chat advised that all future gp's will be 25fps which I find very disappointing.
