I signed up for the prime trial on Amazon using my NZ mastercard and youshop address and everything went fine .I have been watching videos and have used the 2 day free shipping and down loaded a free book. But when I try to use prime music Im asked to add all my details again including CC details, so I use same the same information I used for signup, but I'm told to check detail each time I try.

So  I'm suspecting prime music is picking up that I'm using a NZ card. My question is when my free trial stops and rolls over in 2 days will the card get noticed then as well?

I would have thought the nz card would have been picked up at sign up? Anyway if that is the case I'll need to load up a gift card or dummy USA card any suggestion for this.

A NZ CC is fine   but you may have to make sure your Prime location is the Youshop address.  I found the same trying to rent Prime movies and TV programs and had to buy gift vouchers and place them on my Amazon account before I could rent.  I have't tried buying MP3 from Amazon though  though I can listen to Prime music OK.

Im not trying to rent just stream music. When I click stream a popup asks me to enter my details and every time it says something is wrong check your details. I use exactly the same details  I used to sign up.

If you are going to continue with your Prime Subscription then keep the card there and let it charge it. Once this is done, go to your account and load your gift card balance with some money - $50 or so. Then remove your credit card.

At some point you won't be able to rent movies if your NZ credit card is there but if \remove the credit card it will default to the gift card balance.

You don't need a credit card to listen to Prime Music - you only need a current Prime Subscription.

Mauricio.  I found that once I bought a gift voucher I was able to leave my NZ CC there and could still rent movies and TV programs as they are charged to the voucher...

It may or may not. In my experience it won't let you do it if you are using an Amazon Fire TV or the Amazon app. I just load some balance and remove the card.

Your default address is the youshop address right?

If you have more than 1 address and the nz is default then stuff stops working.

I use the Amazon Fire TV Stick with no problems for movie and TV rentals..  Only use the Amazon App to purchase new gift voucher amounts.    Maybe it's the luck of the draw.. money-mouth

I had two addresses so deleted the NZ one and kept just the youshop one which was default one anyway. Still says check  your submission so I think I'll wait till roll over of account and try again. Is prime music not part of the free trial?

Oh, on another note

Amazon has $50 off the kindle voyager (won't be in stock till the 20th) if you are a prime member (even if you pay monthly, which i just signed up for to get the $50 off and will cancel before next billing).

I just ordered one for $217NZ shipping to youshop.

Amazon has now launched Amazon Prime Reading - you can get a ton of books and magazines for free for your Kindle.

Ok so  my trial has rolled over to a paid subscription with my NZ mastercard and youshop details, but I am still unable to stream music on prime. This is the service included with prime not the new on demand service they have just introduced. When I click stream Im requested to enter my detail as per op.Seems they are being stricter with the music streaming then with the video streaming? This happened with anyone else?

Are you using a VPN? Are you using a DNS unblocker?

I always accessed my Amazon account over a VPN on my laptops and with a DNS unblocker on my Amazon Fire TV.

Have you removed your credit card from your account yet?

No. Do you think it would make any difference when they ask me for the same credit card details in the pop up box when I try to stream music?
