There are currently ~19,000 tests awaiting processing. Please be patient.

If that's the case then no news is not necessarily good news.

Five days is too long when people are expected not to leave their home for any reason (incl buying food) until they get their results.

Compulsory signing in / scanning at all alert levels.  About time - that should have been put in place as soon as it was apparent that delta was very rapidly becoming the dominant global strain.

Agreed, considering the previous approach was "if you were positive, you'd know pretty quickly".

Just a thought. Wondering if they'll bring in more vaccines (and not just sit and wait on pfizer) to speed things up...

Yeah, but if you're not a contact via an LOI and not symptomatic, you can still go out for essential reasons.. (Since you haven't had a test and aren't required to stay self isolated UNLESS the tested person was at an LOI)

Can go back n forth all day obviously. But the intention is, separation of anyone within a bubble who could give it to the rest of the bubble (and therefore any essential services) regardless. Previously considered a contact plus or casual contact
Not all those classified are linked to a location initially.

Friend of a girlfriend of a sister who has been tested can still be classified as likely, and suddenly the entire household should be avoiding each other.
Without direct link to location.
The flatties were an example, and spawned the order in question as a girlfriend/boyfriend and friend of passed to their flat.

any household member of a person who has attended the locations of interest at the times and dates as set out in Schedule 1 or who has been categorised as a close contact.

In fact they're touching on it now on the conference

That close contact figure is currently 10,000. And all their familes are included in above as result

I recall we were laughing at the USA when it was taking them about this long to get their tests back!

It's important to note this is not mandatory QR scanning as media seem to have been quick to rush to. It is mandatory record keeping which is not the same thing.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

We have no shortage of vaccines though, and will be receiving far more in the coming weeks than we could possibly use even if we somehow doubled our rates (which simply wouldn't be possible).

They are not actually waiting on Pfizer. It's already in our freezers.

I'm sure they are sticking it in peoples arms as fast as personnel resources allow.

Tie up the loop of making tracing hard.

People will still think they are covered by automatic means like eftpos or google. Sigh.

I did see an earlier ticker tape suggesting another 382,500 hit shores today

True.  However for the the majority of us with cellphones that can run the app, it's going to beat the hell out of manually providing contact details each time.

Of course there will still be a few nutters - "john and jane does" with contact number 012 345678 who think the whole thing is a great big conspiracy.

If that's the case wouldn't it be easier to use an app that tracks everywhere I go?

Depends. No different to now. Can one pull the data fast. And provide it easily. And not remember stuff later on.

Vs, heres my travel data MoH. Thanks for the alert.

Clearly those who thought the former, are right hindering our current situation.
