debo:

Weird stuff is going on. I book 10 days ago and the first available slot in Christchurch was 20th Sept. Princess Margaret.did not show upon the list. Then on Wednesday the boss got vaccinated there (only booked a few days previous) so I checked and Princess Margaret was not showing for me. I just checked today and now it is showing and lots of available slots.

I myself booked on day 1 of the 30+ being eligible. PMH never showed up for me... not even as an option.

I do wonder if the availability of the appointments is down to stock levels of the vaccine and/or available staff administering the vaccine.

The RNZ article claiming the patient was asymptomatic has all the hallmarks of spin.

They seem to be citing what MoH said.

The presser this afternoon is set to be a doozy.  If you were the person facing the expected barrage of questions, you'll be having a busy day getting prepared with "satisfactory" answers when on the surface of it, this event could mean extending Auckland's level 4 for another 2-3 weeks.  And if it means tracing back the patient's movements. isolating and testing every contact, then there's really not going to be a satisfactory answer this afternoon.

Abdominal pain can be a symptom of Covid:

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/covid-19-coronavirus-abdominal-pain-named-as-weird-new-symptom/YAPBDG5WGYQQTCBRF3NMD7CZWQ/

(my opinion on what went wrong here - from what I've seen so far - absolutely everything)

Yes, that is what I envisaged, MoH spin (not RNZ).

You can check that yourself. Bar about 6 for 'christchurch', Any new bookings are restricted to pretty much first week of October through Nov unless you look more specific at areas or for regular cancellations or openings.

Was just a thought of empathy and wanting everybody to have feasible fair access. :-)

Like I said yesterday, the Albany centre went from nothing until November, to yesterday having almost every slot available in 3 days time for the foreseeable future.

As I found and as have others around NZ, there are many vax sites that do not appear on the man booking.nz site. ie some pharmacies, GPs etc. That is how I got my shot so quickly, a centre not listed on the main site, of whom had plenty of slots even last week when Albany was out to Nov. Will they eventually all be on the main booking site? It was a solid 150km round trip, but worth it just for peace of mind.

Those stuck in Vax admin audit due to the lockdown will have access to audting at lvl 3 Im told. Not sure how many. For me it means 5km for my 2nd shot, not 30km, or the 75km one way for my first. I hope this applies elsewhere as well adding more sites coming live for vax around the country.

There is one guy in the dive community breaking the lvl 4 rules, hes saying the civil rights laws will protect him....

Also I note other people pushing the boundary when it comes to exercise.

Yeah. The "civil rights laws" might not protect him from covid though.

David Seymour, MP for the seat of White Privilege.

What he did this morning is unforgiveable.  Sabotage.

I expect that will be a 4pm question time. It was a MoH statement only today. Which aren't big on detail.
