Tell me I'm wrong, but wasn't he in custody? Therefore he was a prisoner and can expect to be treated like one.

Sounds like Vaccine Mandates are coming to large NZ retail chains.

The Warehouse Group announced today a 14 day staff consultation period for mandated Vaccines.
Effects Warehouse, Noel Lemming & Torpedo 7 etc

And Woolworths Australia is mandating vaccines for Supermarket staff.
Woolworths owns Countdown etc here in NZ so Countdown seems likely to them follow.

If Countdown does you can bet Foodstuffs does as well.

The Govt is giving a pretty big steer on this via worksafe, and I suspect this is part of the reason they are dragging the Vaccine passport chain,

- As long as it impossible to identify non vaxxed members of the public than you can justify making staff vaccinated.

Consider these risk factors

How many people does the employee carrying out that work come into contact with? (very few = lower risk; many = higher risk)
How easy will it be to identify the people who the employee comes into contact with? (easy to identify, such as co-workers = lower risk; difficult to identify, such as unknown members of public = higher risk

If your risk ratings tend toward higher risk and you are not able to reduce that risk by implementing more controls, you and your employees should consider whether the work should be performed by a vaccinated employee.

Looks like the government is going to require everyone who's a non-citizen coming into New Zealand to be doubly vaccinated.

I think this is the new normal. Grocery chains will be exempt. It depends if people feel this is stupid as it's just the flu. Or not.

Id be quite happy to choose a grocery chain/mall/takeaway that was a Covid free space. Like a smoke free space. In fact now that I think about it, is a smoker fee space the same as a Covid free space?

Some of these backward bottom-feeders really need to be exposed, named and shamed. This is truly despicable behaviour.

I know a few "normal" people. I still can't get over how many are anti. One, who is conspiracy theorist has got his first jab. That surprised me maybe his lovely gf pushed him to it. Then I hear she is anti. She is lovely, fit, a lovely person, so if she is anti, I give up. Leave them to it I guess, we cannot hang around for 8 years to pick the high hanging fruit.

As is the case everywhere, its not now a pandemic, its an epidemic of the unvaccinated. There comes a time where we cannot help the helpless.
