Also, you say they are refusing the vaccine because they don't want said document? I mean, they rather get sick than get that document and protection?

Again, they are idiots.

I like the seat-belt analogy.

  1. You're safer with a seat-belt.
  2. You're required to wear a seat-belt.
  3. You're obliged to make sure your passengers wear a seat-belt.

If a cop pulls you over and tickets you for not wearing one, your human rights aren't being violated, your freedom of movement isn't being curtailed and you have no valid recourse to the UN.

Wrong .Your only responsible as driver to make sure children wear a seatbelt.  The adult in car does not wear one, Then they will get the ticket.

You're

Anyway.  Yes - you are correct:

From Waka Kotahi's website -

Keeping young passengers secure

The driver of the vehicle is responsible for ensuring all passengers under 15 years are wearing seatbelts or age appropriate child restraints that are correctly fitted into their vehicles.

I enoyed hearing Hipkins say that anyone who had paid for a Vaccination exemption certificate/document had ben ripped off, as they would not in any way be valid.

He chose violence. I very much had a giggle.

yeah, I get the impression he is losing patience with the antivaxxers. I quite enjoy his honesty.

I quite like Hipkins, he's a bit more blunt with his answers... still controlled but you can see the hear his real thoughts in the words.

Its ironic that the freedoms they are protesting about, they are holding them back

Depends on the method, paying someone to take the vaccine using your Name and NHI, so you keep your job would mark your records as having received the vaccine and will be a legit cert.

But covid will still find out those people who are doing this. Expect them to turn up in hospital next year. The "Vaccinated" that have lied.

I look forward to the first muppet being prosecuted for medical fraud. Will give me a good giggle and relieve a bit of frustration at said muppets

I guess summer holiday and xmas are potentially going to be very difficult.. Can't imagine with testing timeframes and then traffic jams that going on holiday is going to be very enjoyable for anybody who does decide they will try and leave Auckland. Covid 19 Delta outbreak: Auckland's border to remain over summer, may only open to the double vaccinated - NZ Herald

EDIT: what the PM has said cannot be correct,  if the Auckland border remains, that means no traffic light system operating in the rest of the North Island,

That means no festivals like Rhythm and Vines, as they can ONLY operate once Vaccine certificates begin,

These are the Level 2 rules

"Events that are held outdoors but not at an event facility — for example a concert at a park, ....These are limited to 100 people in any defined indoor or outdoor space."

Or are the rules going to change again

In a way I'm very pleased the antivaxxers are getting aggressive. The more aggressive they get the tougher the responses that are easily vindicated. Very difficult to be hard on peaceful protests.

If one of these falsely vaccinated individuals were to contract the virus down the road, would they be able to confirm that in testing? Once you've contracted the virus could they still test to se if you body had antibodies from the vaccine? I would hate to see the statistics for vaccinated positive cases skewed by people who weren't actually vaccinated.

Sounding more and more like the hard border will be in place through the summer. There was a big "may" in the double vaxxed being able to cross the border over summer.

Batman: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/covid-19-delta-outbreak-aucklands-border-to-remain-over-summer-may-only-open-to-the-double-vaccinated/2AWOPZT64DWP5VYXUTPTAA3QFU/

PM says no vax no leaving akl for Christmas... Should be everywhere lol

Good luck with that.

There won't be an effective system for checking at the border that doesn't trigger Kopu-bridge levels of delay on top of the already congested roads.

Did see it has quietly changed from Certificate AND a test to Certificates OR a test.

I expect both to be dropped - which will of course be dressed up as a treat for Aucklanders when in reality it's because no part of it is workable.
