geekiegeek: No new jury trials. Trials underway will continue just none starting. Think they said for the next two months.
have to be careful here as how long you have to wait for a jury trial is covered under law.
Common sense is not as common as you think.

jury by skype?
Hamburg with 1.842 Mill. inhabitants has shut down now. What is on the street is literally essential or food buying people only. No gatherings, no religious services, playgrounds closed, kindergardens, schools and universities closed, restaurants closed, non-food shops closed, no public sports, no cinema, nothing but the basics. We are not locked down (yet) but I think people have understood and accept the situation for the next weeks to come.
This is a quick response only since we have 'only' 312 cases and one fatality (as of today). It started like yours with 3, then 5, then 11 ... just not two weeks ago. I'm sure the deep hard cut (with a devastating impact to our economics) was the right decision at the time and no overreaction. The virus will destroy the economics anyway so at least spreading it is delayed as much as possible.

I think it's fairly safe to say there will be sweeping legislation to cover these types of delays.

Comes from flight from Auckland. If this is a case, this is concerning.Article says the person is an Auckland resident. Hopefully they can trace the case back to someone coming into NZ

Comes from flight from Auckland. This is concerning, is this from someone who used NZ as a connecting flight, or could this be NZs first CT?. Article says the person is an Auckland resident. Hopefully they can trace the case back to someone coming into NZ
I think we now need to require all pacific island incoming flights to self isolate for 14 days.
from the govt of samoa:
"This is a suspected case only.
Samples have been sent to Australia for COVID-19 testing and results should be available in 10-20 working days."

- TV broadcast services start to teach the kids at home or schools establish internet streaming service for their students. Exams are postponed.
- Some churches do as well: streaming of their service via internet.
- Everywhere notes of young people who offer shopping for senior citizens and risk groups.

Yeah, imagine how it would have been 30 years ago. A very different experience.

Yup, There wouldn't be half the panic, anxiety, retarded buying of bog roll or general fake-news bull$hit that we have been experiencing via social media, that's for sure.

It is the art to distinguish the inconspicuous, real information from the superfluous, loud and colorful rest.
And here we go:
+++ EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has admitted that the corona virus has also been underestimated by politics. "I think we all, who are not experts, underestimated the corona virus in the beginning," she said on Wednesday. But in the meantime it has also been shown that the virus will keep us busy for a long time. "All of these measures, which sounded drastic, draconian to our ears a fortnight ago or three weeks ago - we understood that it must be now." It was very difficult. "But I think the population is doing well there."
Von der Leyen said of French President Emmanuel Macron, who described the fight against the virus as war: "I personally would not use the word war, but I understand the motivation of the French president." Because the corona virus is an uncanny opponent. "We don't see it, it has no color, it doesn't taste good. But we notice that it is spreading at a frantic pace. We also don't know how hard it affects people." There are people who have no symptoms at all, others mild, then severe. And there are people who die within a short time. +++

Does GZ count as social media? If not, I don't use any social media. :)
