Zigg:

Plexi-glass screens gone from Mitre 10 checkouts, and the "no mask no service" sign really worked in the pharmacy! Two elderly ladies shuffle in without them, as did methadone guy.

to be honest those Plexi glass screens were mainly for show , im not sure how they were meant to stop Airborne Viruses i mean  there is no way the virus would go over or around the screens

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Guessing they do stop peoples spray though if they cough or sneeze over the attendant. This removal of masks and other protections do seem to be causing an increase in cases, especially as we are heading into warmer weather where cases should really be dropping.

Double (honest reported) figures

And emergency intakes flooded with RSV cases.

People might have got sick of the repeated messaging and opted to 'move on'. But obviously also...humans.

bivalent vaccines in Singapore

And available for free to anyone (including illegal immigrants and tourists) in the USA.

I’ll be getting my first booster there on a family trip at Christmas - had 12 weeks between first and second shot, had Covid in April (headache one day was only symptom and found it really hard to get it from the others in our house even though they were breathing in my mouth etc. 🤣) and was waiting the recommended minimum 6 months to get booster but will now get the new one in the USA instead.

Begs the question as to when we’ll get it - “front of the queue” my @rse

My solar guy cancelled tomorrow visit to go over my solar HW system as he's got Covid, so will see him later next week. Will I be potentially exposed then?

I'd be tempted to say don't come until you test negative, for some people it's more like 2 weeks.

So many people I know seem to be catching it at the moment, many with reinfections,  but zero people wearing masks in the Supermarket, Warehouse or other shops I went to today. I was the only one wearing an N95. It is easy to wear a mask, and far more preferable than catching it, and the inconveniences that go with it.

What exactly is this press conference meant to do? Is it announce something?

They also wanted to throw some shade on the Government mask rules with their final comment

"People should “reconsider” mask use in certain settings, “beyond the mandate” required in healthcare.

6 months ago expanding the eligibility for vaccination and hinting at more masking would have rated at least the COVID minister, perhaps even the PM- but today it is left to the bureaucracy to front this..
