I really have to bail out here to concentrate on my duties. As said by the MoH: you have a good starting point.

Another member suggested creating a Q&A sub-forum or topic that would be open to people to ASK questions and only those with a "DR" or "Nurse" would be allowed to post replies to these questions.
The main problem is diverting these with "DR" and "Nurse" from their main focus in this time of need.

No. There's healthline to deal with those issues - and plenty of other online resources to help.
Random doctors and nurses should not be giving case-specific advice on these forums, IMHO.
geekiegeek:On Saturday after her first address I predicted level 3 by Wednesday, I still stand by my prediction and wouldn't be at all surprised to see level 4 before the week is out. Just my own opinion.
I've been planning for level 4 by the end of the week, possibly even a few days earlier. All you need to do is look at the graphs...

Bad idea IMO. Aside from the obvious reason you alluded to, you have to remember that in a public forum filled with people with (shall we saying) varying levels of writing skills and so forth and placed in a non-real time environment, a lot of relevant contexts can be missed and well-meaning attempts to help could in fact become dangerous. Generally speaking, people know or ought to know the essential information and anyone who needs more detailed help should get them from their own health providers within the usual contexts.
dogstar001:This is called quantitative easing. Gotta do what you gotta do to fend off financial collapse.
For those who aren't familiar with this particular euphemism, it was previously known as printing more money. It's OK as long as it's kept in check...

Not wanting to understate a serious situation, but the graphs overstate the situation as the vast number of cases are imported, hopefully isolating, and not "index cases" for CT.
iamaelephant:How are you guys still making this basic mistake? We are not testing people who are not directly connected with confirmed cases, therefore we cannot possibly find positive cases who are not directly connected with confirmed cases. This propaganda needs to stop. If we don't start being realistic this thing will eat us alive.

thanks i was wondering what that was
dogstar001:It says some non essential businesses will be closed. Very vague. Is the construction industry shut at this level?
Interesting that you use that as an example, if you've got a construction site that will now need to stand unmaintained for four, five, six months then I'd want them onsite stabilising it, not sitting it out. Not saying that they should put themselves at risk, but if there's a real safety issue then they should spend the last few days locking things down to minimise problems.

level 4 in 48 hrs ?
frednz: I'm finding this thread to be an excellent support / advice group. However, the thread could have a few sub-topics to make things easier to find. And, one or two people, although making good contributions tend to dominate the discussion thus making the thread overly long! Perhaps people should limit themselves to a maximum of 2 posts per day and this might make the thread more manageable.
While I agree that the current monster thread is unmanageable, it'd be tricky to keep things ordered because of topic drift. Perhaps a new forum group Covid19 and sub-forums for politics, medical advice, emotional support, DIY equipment, etc? This is going to go on for a long time, and spreading the load as much as possible at an early stage will help keep it manageable.
The PM has raised to Level 3 nationwide, moving to Level 4 in 48 hours.
