For me it's eat what floats your boat, it's all down to personal taste. Just make it a balanced diet  in moderation .

I  never thought I was that into spicy foods, till I found out that some of my friends think that a mild butter chicken is too spicy. FFS thats nothing.

Most people over cook vegetables and turn them to mush with the goodness cooked out of them

MikeB4: Most people over cook vegetables and turn them to mush with the goodness cooked out of them

I ate nothing but raw food for a few months, maybe five years ago. I felt great, occasionally and randomly euphoric for no reason, but got really bored with vegetables and it gets expensive and boring when it's not summer.

Low blood sugar can make you feel awesome too. Could have been a deficiency...

I find the whole thing about food preference / diet / health overwhelmingly frustrating and confusing - scientifically, morally, socially.

Rikkitic: I really enjoy Brussels sprouts. I can't understand how anyone cannot like them.

I call them Devil's Testicles. Horrid, horrid things.

I wonder if you have ever had them by someone who knows how to actually cook them? I've certainly had some pretty poor ones, but I've also had some spectacular ones.

I find it some what odd that when it comes to food or drink preferences people can be very defensive or agro, There can sometimes be anger towards someone who says they are vegetarian or vegan.
It is similar to what I experienced when I stopped drinking any alcohol, people assumed that I had a drinking problem, and some seemed threatened or would try and push drink onto me.
I stopped drinking alcohol because of all the medication I was on and it was just not worth the risk.

Don't get me started on the attitudes I experience due to disability.

I guess as an animal we desire conformity and anyone outside that must be viewed with suspicion or mocking.

It just does not matter if one eats a sausage or a carrot

You could be onto something there. We generally have them either boiled or steamed. Not cooked to within an inch of their lives, but we're definitely just contending with the vegetable trying to get by on its merits alone. A task in which it has always failed, when judged by my taste buds.

Pumpkin and Kumara mash is a great replacement for mashed potatoes. Especially for things like Bangers and Mash.

It's more of a frustration thing, you invite a group people over make a nice dinner and nibbles and then someone pipes up that they can't eat anything you've made!

Luckily not happened to us for ages ... we ate them ...
