freitasm: When Air NZ asks you will have the app to show. The letter won't do it.

Having a trustworthy functioning app seems the best approach, but we don't have this yet. It depends when it will be ready. 

[edit] i received an email from air nz this morning, they are using the govt app like you say... i guess they will shift the date if the app isn't ready. 

I have to modify my predictions.

As there is no 31 Nov (doh!), 1 Dec for “go live”.

Those who have had both doses will be able to log into mycovidrecord.nz and request a pass from Wednesday morning – or ring 0800 222 478.

The pass will include a person’s name, date of birth, and a QR code. It can be saved to a phone wallet or printed out.

Who is surprised it has crashed at login. Too many requests blank page.

Managed to login to the MyCovidRecord website earlier, but no option to request a vaccination certificate at 05:45 this morning.

And now getting the 'Too Many Requests' message.

I have never had any need for a wallet on my phone (android). What would be the recommendation for one to install?

Just wait.... the App for the stores to use to scan the QR code is not yet finished ( and likely wont be for a couple of weeks) ,

So there is nowhere to use your shiny new QR code 

plus, the 6 month expiry of the cert is linked to the issue date of the cert not your vaccination dates..

Android Pay or Apple Wallet. You don't need to use third-party software for this.
