...

Meanwhile somehow it has escaped Mr 8, who after 7 days isolation is back at school today. Either he got lucky or we suspect he has had it at a low level before - both kids sneeze quite a lot in the morning anyway due to allergies, so knowing that for Mr 6 the only real sign is sneezing, there is a chance we've missed it in Mr 8 if he caught it previously.

...

All mostly recovered now, although Mr 6 now gets a super long holiday, as his isolation period doesn't end until Good Friday.

Well, that's frustrating ... wife's 7 day isolation ended Monday, mine ended today, Mr 6's end's tomorrow ... today, Mr 8 tested positive. So not sure if it just took him a long time to catch it off us, or if he's picked it up at school this week.

He didn't have any symptoms until today. However, I'd even tested him on Wednesday night as a random check as we're due on a flight this time next week, so thought if it was hanging around in the background, better to give it the opportunity to be detected sooner rather than later to avoid bumping flights if at all possible. Seems I should've tested him last night too - although may have been negative also, just don't know. By testing positive today, with no symptoms yesterday, means bumping our flights by a day. Doh!

Also is the one in our family who struggles with slight asthma ... so we're hoping he'll have just as an easy ride with it as Mr 6, but conscious it may not be so.

On the flipside, may make it easier for the next 3 months now knowing that we've all definitely had it.

A strange by product of Covid for me, A few years ago I lost my sense of smell and taste thought to be caused by medication I was on at the time. However since getting Covid my sense of smell and taste has returned, go figure. No idea why but I will take it.

with every covid vaccine, my extremely severe lactose intolerance got less.

before first dose if i have one square of chocolate i would be in the toilet for half a day. if i had the whole thing i'd be in there for 2 days (same effect with 4 slices of cheesy pizza regular size).

after first 2 doses, i could take about 1/3rd of a 400g milk chocolate or eat 4 slices of pizza with zero issues

after the 3rd dose, i could eat the entire 400g block with zero issues, or eat an entire pizza with zero issues

unfortunately it's now 3 months after th 3rd dose and i'm reaching for those lactase pills ...

does it mean i am starting to be more susceptible to covid from this point forth ...

I’m glad I wasn’t around when you were researching and compiling data. 😳

If I had to guess I would guess the vaccine has directly or indirectly changed the microbiome in your gut.

After me having it back in March (and still having issues with breathlessness/cough at times) our eldest tested positive 7 days ago, our youngest 4 days ago and my wife yesterday.

Wish me luck :)

I mentioned a few pages back that I had a positive outcome to covid but didn't want to mention it in case it jinxed it. However time is ticking by and all is good. What appears to be a bi-product of COVID-19 is I have gone into remission. I have no symptoms of my conditions and I am pain free for the first time in a very  very long time. All indicators are that I have currently have no active disease. The theory (unconfirmed) is that the assault by COVID-19 on my immune system and the high vaccine load(4 doses) may have reset the autoimmune system.

I cannot remember when I was last pain free but right now to be free of pain is simply awesome. I can feel the difference in my physical and mental condition and my stamina to do things increases everyday. Long may this last but I will take each day as a bonus.

@MikeB4 Thats amazing news and encouraging for others who are so scared of getting it. Boost yourself with good food and revel in it.

As soon as we got the wedding invite I just knew it was going to be a superspreader event. How do you avoid going to best friend’s kids wedding?

We arrived at the venue jabbed and masked. People got out of their cars wearing masks and then like Lemmings on a suicide mission removed them for the duration of the wedding ceremony. Result this Lemming now positive, Mr E still negative but I suspect not for long. So far 16 guests positive and I suspect more to come.

I have body aches and fever with sore throat and very tired. Hoping it stays this way and doesn’t worsen. It feels like flu. Oxygen seems low at 91-4 Good excuse to chill out and do nothing. The difficult part is keeping separate in the house so would be easier to both have it.

Within the span of an hour last night I went from feeling healthy and normal to sneezing, coughing, headache and joint ache and I thought 'this is it'

The day before I had to drop off/setup a new computer for work at a house of a person who was staying away due to symptoms and we have 2 away from our department due to infection within their household.

However after finally stopping my day, lying on bed and watching some Disney+, I was fine within the hour

In 2019 I wouldn't have thought that my issues were a sign of coming down with anything, but in 2022, even the slightest sniffle has me wondering if I should stay home.

Husband now positive but not faring as bad as me. Go figure. He only has a croaky voice no joint pains or fever. Last night 2am got a text from MOH to fill in a close contacts form. I thought they had finished with recording close contacts. Anyway when I opened the link it was down until 8am.

Wonder whensome improvement happens. It’s third day.

Household of 7, Good Friday our first positive case, by Easter Monday 6 positive cases. I’m the only one to test negative the whole way through to today even, zero symptoms and feeling as good as ever.

Most tests were rats and one pcr. As a critical worker I couldn’t even turn up to work without making sure of being negative.

Feeling extremely lucky at this point as I was afraid of Covid right from the start.
