So far 41 people positive that we know of from that one super spreader wedding! Most have mild symptoms and isolating except one that I spoke with who thought going to the supermarket to stock up after testing positive was ok since he wore a mask and was pretty quick w@*#&(

Two more days to go but not feeling quite ready to say it’s over. I could still breathlessly win a coughing marathon. Entertainment wise really hating my dish Tv box that keeps freezing and forcing me to get up to power cycle it three four times a night, but that’s for another story.

I still haven’t met very many who’ve had it IRL. A few here on GZ and I think one in NZ.

Youngest daughter went away on camp on Sunday and it turns out two of the students were feeling unwell when they went up. Camp was cancelled last night due to them testing positive and everyone came back on the bus today. Now at least 9 students including my daughter has tested positive.
Happy days.

@BarTender: two of the students were feeling unwell when they went up.

Thought process of said parents: "I paid for this, they better go"

I hope your daughter recovers soon.

Wife brought it back from Gallipoli for me. Both her and Miss 16 (who dodged getting it) were "released" on Saturday, I'm out for good behaviour tomorrow.

At Bunnings today, was wearing a N95 10 meters from someone who gets approached by someone they obviously knew asking why they weren't at work at that time of the day.

'I've got Covid'.

Inconsiderate prat.

I had the exact same in a supermarket. I think I mentioned it here.

From what I can see, there is a large move towards the attitude that "we're all going to get it sooner or later, so (shrug) why even bother trying to stop it?"

Fine for those who probably won't get a serious case. Less fine for the vulnerable.

I mean, there is an element of truth to that, but taking reasonable precautions isn't that difficult. Stay home if you are unwell.

This. With this illness you never know if you are going to be the windscreen, or the bug.

The fact we are moving my Mother in law to a retirement village in 3 weeks time means it’s far from ideal for our family.

Official office advice is 'masks are now not required, but you can still wear one if you wish'

I am quite glad that 90% of the regular staff can't access our department
