SheriffNZ: Other than Apple Pay, I don’t use my Apple wallet. Assuming it’s like the other cards in there I don’t use, what’s the most efficient way to get to your wallet and bring it up?

I know I’d love the tracer app to be made into a widget. I know I can put it on my Home Screen, but it’s full and I’d rather it on another screen.

Given that not everyone is an IT geek, it may have been easier to just have a link to a seperate Android and Apple Vaccine Cert app, so that non IT literate people can just click that, and it downloads as a new app on their phone. Open it like the Covid scanner app and done, or better yet, make the cert update to the Covid app so its dual purpose. Plus when you have to use it ata vaccine event/place, it scans as well for tracing purposes

It'll be an 'app' eventually. Mobile first webpage which will likely turn into a PWA. Just a page with an app looking icon and display window.

But sure no scalability test like a live swamp. didn't do themselves any popularity favours today.

So there is nowhere to use your shiny new QR code

plus, the 6 month expiry of the cert is linked to the issue date of the cert not your vaccination dates..

Information to code a verifier system has been available for some days.

I just managed to get the option to request the pass. Basically just asks whether it's for internal or international use....and then it emails it to you.

Not exactly what I expected but I guess it's a first step. The email then has links to add the pass to either Apple Wallet or Google Pay.

All done and dusted on Android phone.

Was not able to add vax-pass to phone from my desktop email program.

Had to open the email from my phone and it worked from there.

There was an option to add a shortcut to the homescreen, which I selected and that worked.

I will be telling my friends and family to wait a bit until they need the pass before applying, as yes, my expiry date is 6 months from today.

Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!

I'm Apple but I accessed my email they sent on my phone, clicked the Apple one, you can click the Google one, and it added it to the app
