Well…after getting sick on Monday, testing positive late on Monday evening, it’s now Thursday and I really thought I’d be over it by now.

I’m vaccinated, I’m moderately healthy and I’m not old (early 50’s).

This has really knocked me about.
I can’t get rid of the fever. I’m blocked up and feel like I have a terrible cold, but worse is the persistent niggling cough and the headache that won’t quit.

Hoping I wake up feeling completely fresh tomorrow. But the way I’m going, I can’t see it.

Hang in there. It took me a couple of weeks to really feel ok again when I got it. My daughters cough persisted for a few months but is gone now. Just try and go with the flow and take it day by day.

If your respiratory symptoms don't start to improve in the next 12/18 hours or get worse at all, call Healthline/your GP and make an appointment, don't be a hero.

healthy 40.

sick as a dog for 4 days.

back to exercise (very low key) and work at 7 days.

felt had covid all over again. took another 7 days off.

drained for 1 month.

could do more after 1 month and completely fine after 2 months.

continued with the low key exercise every 2-3 days since day 7 and that's how i can tell how "normal" i was.

interestingly, last week was about 3.5 months and my exercise ability suddenly doubled. not sure if i got better at exercise or covid lifted more completely.

just hand in there

Post-Covid you're definitely more vulnerable to other things than you were previously.

RATted negative but worse than what I had with Covid - no joint pain this time so I wasn't too worried, but still tested just to be safe.

Hands up who hasn’t had it yet? 👋

Me as far as I know, and my household family members, inlaws, and only 1 member of my BIL household of 4 has had it.

Unless we were asymptomatic.

What I have found strange is that we have only ever had one person in the house at any time test positive.

Both kids had it separately, months apart. I now have it. Wife still hasn't tested positive for it, but we have all had bad colds/flu over the last couple of years.

👍For both of us. The wife RAT tests a lot for Netball (Bench Official, they have to test before every event) .... so far negative 😀 too.

I really want to go to the Callum Scott concert but am worried about getting it there. Lots of people projecting their voices, close proximity etc...

I'm pretty sure I caught it at a gig I went to on Friday night - small, packed and sweaty with everyone yelling away to the music.

Perfect breeding ground for COVID.

That is not going to help make my case to my wife :)
